What changed

- Performance
Hey fellow tribemembers.
I did not disappear into the void, nor have I been doing nothing. I’ve actually been working hard on a new vision for Polylithic over the past few months. So before anyone types “THIS GAME IS DEAD” in all caps… please allow me a moment 😄
I’d like to invite you to Polylithic Beta
What is Beta?
A beta is a separate testing branch used for feedback, bug reporting, and iteration before a stable release. You don’t need to join anything external if you don’t want to. The finished, stable version will always be released once it’s ready for everyone. Why should you care?
Because now you can officially become a highly respected (and slightly unpaid) quality assurance hunter. Play the game, explore, break things, and report bugs. Every valid report will be rewarded with two things: a warm feeling of contribution… and one (1) bowl of stones.
What to expect?
Oh, just a small list of minor changes like: new avatar customization, clothing, improved hunger and body systems, cooking, new quests, enemy tribes in Sandbox, shouting mechanics (yes), party commands, performance improvements, new tools, mushrooms 🍄, and a bunch more things that definitely did not turn into a massive overhaul.
Instructions unclear, where do I go?
Open Steam and go to your Library
Right-click the game and select Properties
Go to the Betas tab
Enter the beta access code: betabetabeta
Enjoy the beta and don’t forget to share your feedback
I would really appreciate it if you could join the Discord (https://www.discord.gg/polyperfect) and share your feedback and bug reports there.
Friendly Warning
You will need to start a new game. Old saves will not survive the transformation. Too many systems have changed, evolved, or gone through emotional growth. Continuing might result in missing content, confusion, or your character becoming spiritually lost in the woods.
