The goal is simple. Make your character feel more alive, more reactive, and more connected to the world around you.

Buff System Guidance

We have added in-game hints to help players understand how to deal with negative states.

You will now receive guidance for:

  • Intoxication

  • Radiation

  • Parasites

  • Bacteria

This makes the system more accessible while still keeping depth for advanced players.

Gameplay and Balance Changes

Added stamina consumption for firearms

  • Shotguns around -20 percent

  • Machine guns around -10 percent

  • Other weapons between -5 and -9 percent

This change connects stamina management with combat more deeply.

Difficulty Adjustments

Overlord difficulty updated

  • Loot chance decreased to 0.5x (from 0.6x)

  • Loot amount increased to 2.0x (from 1.2x)

This shifts the experience toward fewer drops, but more rewarding ones.

Quality of Life Improvements

  • Lost and Found box capacity increased from 15 to 25 kg and liters You can now store larger items like a Jerry Can during early gameplay

Fixes

  • Fixed rare issue with player visibility on map in Team modes

  • Fixed ViPeCo item description

  • Fixed rare bug causing world generator stops generate world chunks, when too much world chunks with certain biome exist

What Is Next

This week, we want to closely observe together with the community how the new Buff system performs in real gameplay.

Your feedback, your playstyles, and the ways you push this system will help us shape its next evolution.

Next week, we plan to share a roadmap for the upcoming two months, where we will outline the next steps and features we want to bring into Plains of Pain.

Thank You

Seeing how you adapt to these systems and push them in unexpected ways keeps us moving forward.

Every piece of feedback, every discussion, every shared moment from the wasteland matters.

If you enjoy how the game is evolving, sharing your experience through a review helps more players discover Plains of Pain and become part of this journey ❤️

We are building this world together.

And remember

This is just the beginning.
