Steam post image Hello, Pebble Knights! In this update, the Angel/Demon event has received a major overhaul, and some boss battles have been reworked. We have added 20 new Angel Buffs, 7 new Demon Debuffs, and 3 new Traits. Several existing Traits have also received major reworks. Pebble Knights continues to grow thanks to your valuable feedback and bug reports. Thank you as always! Please check out the details below.
[Angel Buffs]
20 New Angel Buffs Added Normal Effects (last for 3 floors)
Trait Pouch: Gain 1 Trait slot.
Rising Tide: All Knights' levels increase to match the highest-level pebble.
Fast-Track Pass: Gain 3 level-up items.
Juiced Up: Eating potions increases your stats.
Bomb Appétit: Eating bombs permanently increases attack power.
Copycat Glitch: Creates 1 duplicate Trait for everyone.
Divine Gains: All melee weapons become larger.
Blessed Mag: All ranged weapons have 1004 ammo.
Crossfire Chaos: All ranged weapons fire in 4 directions.
Angelic Treads: Movement speed is doubled.
Buldak Seraph: Everyone breathes fire.
Spudfall: Potatoes and chili peppers fall from the sky.
Bada-Bling!: All items come with Traits.
Motherlode: A giant ore appears.
Permanent Effects
Starbaker: From now on, bread appears with Traits.
Legendary Dump: From now on, eating a Legendary weapon makes you poop out another Legendary weapon.
The King's Favor: From now on, the chosen Loyalist gains levels based on Trait grade.
Camp Halo: From now on, Angel magic circles appear on camp floors.
Shadowbreak: From now on, overcoming a Dark Trait guarantees a Legendary Trait.
My Precious: From now on, eating a Demon weapon gives you a Legendary Ring.
Existing Angel Buff Changes
- Celestial ForgingChanged from a Golden Archangel effect to a normal Angel effect.
- Loyal Knight CampRemoved.
[Demon Debuffs]
7 New Demon Debuffs Added
Six-Pack: For 3 floors, all ranged weapons have 6 ammo.
- All You Can't EatFor 3 floors, eating speed is reduced.
Elixir Syndrome: For 3 floors, all potions turn into poop.
Handle with Care: For 3 floors, ores break when thrown.
Blasphemy: Removes all Angel Buffs.
Unholy Crap: Summons a giant poop.
Devil's Wishlist: For 3 floors, Demons start targeting your weapons.
Existing Demon Debuff Changes
Bombs Away!: From now on, Demon Bombs fall from the sky. Hawks no longer spit out bombs as medicine!
Demon Bomb: Unlike normal bombs, Demon Bombs explode at random timings.

Roulette Rework
Roulette has been reworked to show each effect's unique icon instead of only Angel/Demon icons.
More roulette patterns have been added.
Balance Adjustments
Demon Slipper attack speed has been reduced.
Demon Scythe has been adjusted so it no longer spawns too many spirits.
Item balance has been adjusted for cloudy Demon underworld floors.
Rewards from Demon enemies have been adjusted.
Visual Improvements
Feedback effects have been added to Angel purification zones.
New effects have been added when gaining or removing Angel/Demon Buffs and Debuffs.
[Traits]
System Improvements
The #KingTrait tag has been added to King Traits.
King Trait colors have been unified with Tier 2 Traits.
When you gain a Trait, it now briefly unfolds before disappearing.
Reworks
- ShadowboxingThe requirement has been changed from using a weapon once to using it 10 times. A new effect has been added.
- TemperingAttack speed now slightly decreases as weapons grow larger. A new effect has been added at the final stage.
- MomentumA new effect has been added at the final stage.
- Doom PlagueSimilar to Sun God, it now poisons enemies you touch. Its visual effect has been changed.
- Guard UpThe activation chance has been increased, but the chance now decreases if your attack speed is too high.
- Heat Shield (formerly Fire Regeneration)Changed from a healing effect to an effect that grants a shield when you inflict Burn.
- MeditationHealth recovery increased from +2 to +4.
Uppies! (formerly Salvation): Renamed and greatly buffed.
- WantedChanged from unlimited range to increased range. Piercing has been removed.
- King's BoonCan now also be triggered by kicking. The giant-size effect has been removed.
3 New Traits Added (+ 3 related Achievements)
Toxic Leech
Effect: Absorbs health from nearby poisoned enemies.
Unlock Condition: Hold 5 #Fartster Traits at once.
Pexcalibur
Effect: Holding a Pebble Knight increases attack power and attack speed by 5x.
Unlock Condition: Get an item from every Knight with Shakedown Trait.
Bomb Roulette
Effect: When a bomb explodes, it triggers a random explosion. Could it even be... a black hole?
Unlock Condition: Kill 10 or more enemies at once by throwing a bomb.
[Bosses & Underworld Combat]
Difficulty Adjustments
Some variant bosses no longer appear in Morning Mode.
Underworld monsters have increased health.
Boss Balance
Rollaf
Ice is now more slippery.
Rollaf dodges most ranged attacks normally, but can no longer dodge them while staggered.
Magnite
Attack patterns have become more varied.
Rock Mary
Defense has been added during normal phases.
Defense is removed while staggered.
Penny Dice
Balance has been adjusted so the dice pattern is shown first.
Defense has been added during normal phases.
Defense is removed while staggered.
Shai-Hululu
Fixed a bug where Shai-Hululu became invincible when not staggered.
Fixed a bug where Shai-Hululu could occasionally get stuck and stop moving when players tied it up with ropes.
Fixed a bug where its health did not turn pink while staggered.
Mr. & Mrs. Fist
Fixed a bug where their health did not turn pink while staggered.
[Other Changes]
Some tutorial explanations have been improved.
The Trait Menu now shows the number of Traits you have obtained.
Descriptions have been added to the Trait Menu.
The current difficulty is now displayed in the top-left corner of the lobby and in-game screen.
The range at which experience spreads from graves has been increased. This makes it easier to share experience or revive without losing everything.
Flash Bombs now deal 1 damage.
Kicks now deal 1 damage.
[Bug Fixes & Optimization]
Additional large-scale optimization has been carried out.
Fixed a bug where players could move to the next floor while monsters were still alive.
Fixed a bug where movement speed could become permanently reduced after using the Minigun.
Fixed a bug where movement speed could become permanently reduced after using the Laser Beam.
Fixed a bug where healing fields could remain on the next floor.
Fixed a bug where the Greater Demon Lucifer / Nearsighted effects could overlap with other UI elements or display incorrectly.
Fixed a bug where some values were not displayed for guests.
Fixed an issue where Trait tag positions could become misaligned.
Fixed a bug where Bomb Buddies sometimes would not spawn.
Fixed a bug where sound settings could not be adjusted in the lobby.
