I just want to start this announcement of with an apology to those of you who have been waiting for this update. Some time off working on the project was taken due to a death in the family and being the sole developer meant the update was unfinished.
The first major content update has now been expanded merging the update for the survival mode previously mentioned along with reactivating requisition mode.
Included in this update there have been changes to the progression system within Left Behind mode with a full XP and skill tree system added in prototype state that can be tested and used, there have been changes to some of the crafting systems to accommodate this and some UI changes to the forge and campfire.
Some time has been taken to fully rewrite the foliage generation to optimise the load times of the mode and a loading screen has been added to prevent issues that came up during testing where the player could have foliage spawn inside them among other things.
The save system has also had a further rework in preparation for this update to firstly allow for Requisition mode saves but also to fine tune the save system and fix the bug I am sure anyone who has played the game in its current state is aware of in which you cannot use items in your inventory due to issues in the back end caused by the save system. This new systems testing has fixed the known issues but should you find anymore please use the bug report form on the main menu to report this and bring it to my attention.
Requisition mode will also be back in this update with some larger changes that simplify the game loop and streamline the mode. The main change is that now player will be given a quota of artifacts to find and simply have to collect them rather than deposit them to leave. There are further plans to expand this mode with bonus objectives and an overarching progression system that allows for gear upgrades that you can take with you that will assist in completing more difficult objectives. There are also key changes to the map layout and design to come in future updates.

The update is due for release this week and is currently in the final phase of testing if anything arises that prevents the update going live a further announcement will be made
