Today we have a small update for you to improve general UI in the game: The Refined Interface Update. New features in this smaller, but important update range from an entirely new Build Menu UI, to visual cues for belts and pipes.
As teased in the Dwarven Den, we have made changes to the design of the Build Menu. As this menu is very frequently used while playing, we wanted to ensure that it not only functioned efficiently, but it also looked the part.
After receiving feedback on our belts and pipes UI, we decided to improve the UI to have more cues to make placing and connecting belts and pipes together, making the build process smoother and easier. If you are unsure if everything is connected correctly, fear not, as there is a new visual cue (a tick or a cross, as seen in the third image) when you hover over belts and pipes at both ends to display if they are connected or not.

New
New revamped build menu which no has info panel to show everything you need to know about the building
Added a visual UI when placing belts and pipes that displays the start building and the target building you're trying to connect to help players see what they are connecting and if they're actually establishing a proper connection.
Added visual cues ✅ ❌ to belts and pipes when you hover over them at both ends to display if there is a proper connection or not.
Changes
Condensed the Crafting Category, Sub Categories into "Quest buildings", "Crafting Stations" and "Wooden Chest"
Improved the experience of placing belts that are at minimum distance between the input and output
Various backend optimisations for the belts and factory system. More and more are planned and will come in future updates to improve even more the performance of games with really large factories.
Added a backend crash reporter to help us catch crashes from players and help diagnose issues better.
Valuable Category now has Finance Sub Category which contains the Bank, Market and Auto Market and the Loot Sub Category which has all of the Decorative Ingots
