Welcome to Anvil update 4! Coming April 25th 2026
This week we release the biggest content update in Orebound’s history! With tons of new factory and automation gameplay, much needed combat improvements, UI reworks, numerous QOL changes and character customization!
We will be opening up the game to some testers immediately and will be opening the game to everyone on the next update branch likely tomorrow. If you're enjoying Orebound we'd really appreciate if you left a review to help us keep the game growing! We have listed the main awesome changes coming to the game below and will possibly add some others if we can in time for the 25th.
Factory and automation
As a core part of this update, we have expanded the depth of factory & automation gameplay within Orebound. Bringing in a full redesign of how steam power plays with new tiers of power generating machines and a host of 16 new items to manufacture in order to build them!
These 16 new items are made from a variety of components. Copper, iron and our newest material, steel! Ranging from simple to complex recipes, they are unlocked within the early-mid game and to accommodate them we have brought in a whole new tier of automation!
All of this content will of course massively expand the size and demand of your dwarven factories! So, alongside all this new content we have added numerous improvements to base building!
Splitters and Pipes can now be connected without having to replace the pipe or belt. New factory content
