Orbital Siege changes
New System: STARHOP Protocol
Collect STARHOP letters during combat to unlock powerful run bonuses. Letters can be collected in any order or in sequence — your approach determines the reward.
Overdrive — Collect all letters in any order to gain a permanent +10% boost to all ship stats for the current run.
Tactical Wingman — Collect the letters in exact order to deploy a support companion that fires a laser, evades enemy attacks, collects nearby hearts, and scales with your upgrades. It regenerates health when close to the pilot and respawns at the start of the next wave if destroyed.
New Arsenal: Smart Bombs & Combat Bonuses
Smart Bombs — When overwhelmed, activate the Smart Bomb to trigger a high-energy pulse that instantly neutralizes all active enemy projectiles and clears the immediate sector of hostile units. A critical tactical reset for no-win scenarios.
Combat Bonuses — Sustained investment in your loadout now yields emergent bonuses that activate automatically when two upgrade paths reach a critical threshold. Press TAB key at any time to review your active bonuses and track progress toward new ones.
OVERCLOCKED — Every fifth shot detonates with double damage.
FORTRESS — Each turret laser chains to nearby hostile units in range.
HUNTER — Missile impacts mark targets for three seconds. Marked units take +50% damage from all fire sources.
BULWARK — Orbs become autonomous weapons, independently acquiring and engaging nearby targets.
Precision Enhancements — Homing Missiles now accelerate faster and track targets with aggressive precision. Orbs have been redesigned to move in controlled, symmetric patterns for more reliable battlefield control.
Intel Report: The Enemy Evolves
Field analysis confirms a disturbing development — hostile units are no longer operating on fixed combat routines. Enemy forces now exhibit adaptive behavioral profiles, and as our arsenal grows, the void responds in kind.
Threat Classifications
Kamikazes — Abandons all self-preservation to break formation in a high-speed suicide dive at the planet's core.
Commanders — High-value targets that grant a periodic boost to all nearby allies.
Healers — Tracks down injured enemies and restores their health.
Warpers — Warps directly past outer defenses, straight into your inner perimeter.
Chargers — Unleashing a devastating, high-damage blast.
Bursters — Attacks in rapid, triple-shot bursts to quickly overwhelm your shields.
Retaliators — Danger close! Instantly shoots back every single time they take damage.
Leeches — Siphons health directly from your ship or the planet at close range.
Weavers — Sways side-to-side to aggressively dodge your direct fire.
Swoopers — Fakes a straight approach before breaking into evasive maneuvers.
Splitters — Tricky targets that split into two smaller, fast-moving ships upon destruction.
Tactical Update
Behavioral profiles are assigned independently and combine freely. Expect unpredictable and highly aggressive enemy combinations.
Boss Rework Initiative
Boss encounters have been reworked with adjustments to mechanics, pacing, and overall combat flow. Refining them remains an ongoing focus — expect further updates as encounters continue to evolve.
