New Gadget - Axe-o-lotl

Based on ideas by Silviu Offtopic (The Romanian OO translator), the Axolotl gadget is ready for her rampage! Axe-o-lotl hops onto Dr. Odin, then swings her axe-shaped gills around, slashing the skeletons around you in four different directions!

Axe-o-lotl will finally provide a melee, AoE gadget option.

She can absolutely decimate hordes of skeletons, but this requires you to run head on into danger & dance around to aim each of her attacks!

Axe-o-lotl is unlocked after Toxic Wasteland Level 2-11! If you encounter any bugs while playing, please report them to me on Discord! -------------------------------------------------------------------

Balance Changes

  • Potion Factory can no longer deploy while you're already tossing a turret onto a tile it's able to occupy

  • This also means Potion Factory wouldn't squash your turrets anymore, if you dropped a turret right under it as it deploys.

  • Reworked how the"airborne"state is handled, so that airborne targets still cannot be targetted, but would remain vulnerable to certain projectiles

  • e.g. if Lionfish's spikes hit a Diver Skeleton while it is jumping in mid-air, the Diver would no longer be immune to those projectiles

Bug Fixes

  • Added prevention for an exploit where through save editing, someone could cheat on the Speedrun Leaderboard by deleting all but a few turrets, allowing him to start a level with a less-than-full deck

  • Reported by eagle

  • Fixed a glitch where during boss fights, the Speedrun panel always displays "Wave 110, 10.45s before next wave"

  • Remember how anti-snowballing could be prevented if the player is holding too many pearls? Fixed a glitch where the current pearl amount could be calculated erroneously

  • Upon return to the game, the map no longer shows a notification dot if you're already inside a biome that's newly unlocked
