Spanish Localization!

Special thanks to Alejandro Pulgar-Vidal for translating Operation Octo into Spanish (Latin America)! Alejandro speedran the translations. He finished everything in like, idk, 3 days? Like the based Romanian version, this is also a localization that takes a lot of creative liberty with the Turret / Skeleton stories, and has abundant lores of its own.

Balance Changes

  • Bolt Eel now has an illumination radius of 3.5

  • Hollow Bolt Eel now has an illumination radius of 5

  • Mutant Bolt Eel now has an illumination radius of 6.5

  • Virty thought Eels could always produce light all along. This made me realize that Eels should produce light - They've literally gotten electrical light bulbs. Besides, Eels are weak enough as a turret.

  • Disorientation immunity duration increased from 1.5 to 3 seconds after recovering from a Boomerang hit

  • If Odin became disoriented again within 8 seconds (used to be 5 seconds) after disorientation recovery, receive a reduced disorientation duration

  • After playing some hardcore challenges posted on Discord, I see why people hate Boomerang now. These changes are aimed at preventing rapid back-and-forth switches between normal and reversed controls, in case Captain Phantom managed to stun Odin amidst a storm of Boomrang projectiles.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a glitch where the Speedrun Leaderboard fails to display more than 6 entries

  • CosmeticIt ain't my faultThere weren't that many players during beta 😢
  • Added a speedrun cheat prevention when a player could load into the reward screen and submit a score without going through a level

  • eagle tried this on stream, but didn't succeed. Still, this was an exploit I hadn't thought of.

  • Fixed a glitch where if you quitted the game during the Graveyard Tutorial without picking up the initial Skeleton Pods, the Skeleton Pods would turn into Turret Pods when you reboot the game

  • Fixed a glitch where the Manual shows Watchdog's "dog form" as being "30 Cost"

  • At one point during the game's development, Watchdog had costed 30 pearls. The old data got carried over in the previously-unused "dog form" data, which has now surfaced.

  • Fix attempt for a glitch where Leviathan could be stuck in its idle animation, regardless of whether it is given battery

  • Fixed a glitch where Hollow Snail and Hollow Bumperfish do not illuminate darkness inside the Graveyard before the simulation starts

  • Fixed a glitch where the Dev Console option in the Gameplay settings does not display its tooltip

  • Fixed a glitch where if the player has never swapped a gadget before, and started a level while ignoring the arrows pointing at the gadgets, the tutorial arrows would stick around for the entire level

Misc Changes

  • The Demo version now has its own speedrun leaderboards

  • Now don't you all go dominate the Demo's peaceful Sandy Shallows meta

  • Non-Sandy-Shallows turrets, gadgets, and elixirs can no longer be selected inside the Demo version

  • This is mainly to stop y'all from going into the Demo with your Hollow Death Rays and absolutely taking over all the leaderboards

  • The challenge icon (dumbbell) no longer displays when only "Speedrun Mode" is enabled
