Balance Changes

  • Axe-o-lotl initial gadget cooldown increased from 30s to 50s

  • Axe-o-lotl is over-shadowing Spiky Urchin as the early game gadget - I don't want Urchin to lose its primary use case.

  • Reverted all previous Boomerang Skeleton / Disorientation nerfs / reworks

  • Boomerang's inflicted Disorientation duration reduced from 5.5s to 4s

  • Odin has 3 seconds of immunity from Disorientation upon recovery

  • While already disoriented, getting hit by a boomerang again would no longer extend the remaining Disorientation duration

  • While disoriented, a"tick" sound effect now plays every second with increasing pitch to help keep track of when the status effect would end

  • Even I got annoyed by the nerfed Boomerangs. Boomers felt perfectly fine to me back when the Disorientation duration was consistent, and you could get used to when to go back to normal movement. But casual players simply couldn't handle that, and would just stay in lakes for 10 whole seconds and flipping die every time they got disoriented. The prior nerfs helped avoid that, but no, I don't like what the huge number of Boomerang nerfs has led to, and have settled for a middle ground.As Alejandro said on Discord: "Easy, screw the noobs and revert Boomerang 😏 Everyone gets happy!"

  • Shooting Star can no longer proactively target a submerged Diver Skeleton

  • Shooting Star's projectile can still hurt submerged divers, since the projectile is the same type as Blobfish's explosion.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a glitch where the Axolotl reward is dropped after Level 2-11, but cannot truly be obtained

  • Fixed a glitch where Axe-o-lotl's manual entry erroneously displayed her attack radius as 5.9 instead of 5.5

  • Fixed a glitch where Axe-o-lotl's animation flickers for one frame whenever she takes off into midair

Misc Changes

  • Reduced"Carcinization" Achievement's required stunned skeleton count from 8 to 5

  • This is to make the achievement more feasible to obtain through normal gameplay, so that people don't feel like they have to cheese it.

  • Axe-o-lotl, Blobfish, and Zappy Jelly's VFX are now always visible in the dark
