Open Robot 0.6.11 changelog:
These are the changes from 0.6.10 to 0.6.11
World dressing / Visuals
- Adds furniture to all buildings.
- Furniture now has the ability to spawn clutter on top.
- Adds/replaces textures to buildings and landscape for better visual variation.
- New grass material for better grass blending with the terrain.
- Improves landscape texture tilling, avoiding landscape textures looking repetitive. Adds color variation patches to the landscape adding an extra layer of variation for better looking terrain.
- Fixes coastline walkable area materials as they got the default one. Both floor and railings.
- Adds plants to buildings.
- Adds cover to the buildings and surroundings for strategic combat locations
- Procedural building generator walls now support different materials for the inner and outer side of a wall/floor/ceiling adding variety.
- House level layout improved with new balconies.
Performance
- First big performance improvements.
- Max texture quality capped for better performance.
- Procedural content improvements for better performance.
- Small objects all around the map are not included in HLODs. Replacing far away objects with more optimized versions of them only applied to those objects visible from a far away distance.
- Deletes unused meshes, textures and materials.
- Better dimensioned virtual texture pool size configuration, for better balance between memory and CPU usage.
- General wind animations are deactivated and only visible for small elements close to the player or reasonably close to big trees.
Quests
- Removes repetitive messages after killing enemies
- Moves some tutorial actions to better places where the player really needs them. Making tutorials shorter and more suited for the incoming action.
- Adds ability to control vehicles interaction from quests. Deactivating vehicle driving when driving away can mess up a quest.
- Better balanced difficulty progression with initial enemies.
Characters
- Changes BleepBloop materials for better look
Spawning
- Fixes NPCs and other elements (weapons, health packs, etc) spawning on top of furniture.
Navigation
- Improves the navigation system so that NPCs movement and spawning deal correctly with general furniture.
Music
- Adds dynamic music to combat, growing in intensity as combat intensifies. Not only players but also bots are able to raise combat intensity by firing their weapons.
- Adds music to the main menu.
Survivor Mode
- Ability to save survivor mode checkpoint progress.
- Adds basic movement and combat tutorials at the beginning of the survivor mode. It will only appear the first time the survivor mode is played.
Other bugs
- Fixes foliage disappearing in rare cases.
- Fixes coastline walkable areas that have lost their custom materials.

The plan
I would be running multiple short iterations, each one lasting few weeks (3/4 weeks), depending on the amount of feedback and implementation needed etc.
I will be focusing on different aspects of the game. Currently working on the game visuals (dressing up the world) and performance, making it ran faster while looking the best possible.
