addedWith this update, I wanted to breathe some fresh life into looting and crafting. The goal was to increase the variety of weapons and equipment, but without just adding useless filler items.
addedWith the new stat system, some older weapons might have lost some of their values. Just give the sort button in your inventory a quick click, and everything will be back to normal.
addedMost weapons and equipment now have a chance to become rare items upon creation. This means that rare items can now appear as loot from any enemy, in chests, or even through crafting. They are usually equipped with stronger stats that can also influence health, energy, and mana. Depending on the rarity, additional attributes can also be unlocked. I’ve gone with the classic rarity colors we are all used to: Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), and Legendary (Orange). Let's see if it fits well with the current probabilities. I’m half-tempted to just put a legendary item in a glass display case instead of ever actually using it, ha.
addedSince jewelry crafting was in desperate need of an update, this provided the perfect opportunity to overhaul it. There is now one specific recipe each for a rune ring and a rune necklace. Both recipes are available from Baldrim the dwarf in the mountain cave. Crafting these new pieces of jewelry typically requires any gemstone of your choice. The stats of the resulting item depend on the gemstone used: Ruby = Health, Diamond = Energy, Sapphire = Mana. Outdated ring and necklace recipes have been disabled.
changedThe crafting skill window is back, and you can watch the bars fill up while you're doing what you do best. The higher your level, the greater the chance that crafting an item will result in a rare one. Note that only weapons and equipment can become rare at this time.
changedThe ancient start screen has finally received his first update. The UI should now also fit on ultra-wide screens.

Long story short

With this update, I wanted to breathe some fresh life into looting and crafting. The goal was to increase the variety of weapons and equipment, but without just adding useless filler items.

Please note

With the new stat system, some older weapons might have lost some of their values. Just give the sort button in your inventory a quick click, and everything will be back to normal.

Rarities

Most weapons and equipment now have a chance to become rare items upon creation.

Rune Crafting

Since jewelry crafting was in desperate need of an update, this provided the perfect opportunity to overhaul it.

Crafting Skills

The crafting skill window is back, and you can watch the bars fill up while you're doing what you do best. The higher your level, the greater the chance that crafting an item will result in a rare one. Note that only weapons and equipment can become rare at this time.

Start Screen

The ancient start screen has finally received his first update. The UI should now also fit on ultra-wide screens.

  • In hints and other texts, the name of the assigned active key is now always displayed instead of its generic label.

  • The spawn chance for each gem deposit in the upper mountain region has been increased to 10%. Additionally, one deposit of each type can now be found in the mountain caves, with a general respawn time of one week.

  • Gems can now also be purchased from the dwarves.

  • Various UI improvements across multiple areas.

  • The tooltip layout has been cleaned up slightly.

  • Bags are no longer stackable.

Fixes

  • Decorative flowers on the marketplace are no longer incorrectly flagged as interactable on market days.
