As the flowers bloom and the Steam Spring Sale kicks off, we wanted to celebrate the season with a major update we’ve been pouring our hearts into over the last few months. Whether you are a returning explorer or picking up the game for the first time during the sale, there has never been a better time to dive back in.

New Feature: The Moon Wishes

Starting today, keep an eye out for special rooms appearing throughout Thorny Wood!

The Burrow (Loot Management) Inside these rooms, you’ll find a Burrow. This allows you to review all the loot you’ve gathered in the dungeon so far. More importantly, you can now swap and add these items to your active slots to use them immediately!

The Moon Altar At the center of the room lies an altar to the Moon. You will be presented with three unique Moon Wishes, powerful boosts to aid you for the remainder of the night. These wishes can grant:

  • Material GiftsRare items for armor and new recipes.

  • Stat Boosts: Permanent buffs for your current run.

  • Time Extension: A little more breathing room to explore.

  • Restoration: Instant healing for both health and appetite.

  • Navigation: Reveal hidden paths and hints on your map.

  • ...and several other surprises!

General Improvements & Bug Fixes

While the Moon Wishes are the star of the show, we’ve also been busy under the hood polishing the overall experience:

  • Dungeon Balancing: We’ve rebalanced encounters across all areas, with a specific focus on smoothing out the difficulty curves in Rocky Mountain and Majestic Mountain.

  • Dash StabilityWe’ve reworked the dash mechanic to fix instances of clipping or instability.
  • Recipe FixesResolved a bug where certain recipes were providing incorrect or stacking stat increases.

  • Persistent Settings: Your language preferences and audio/visual settings will now correctly save between different play sessions.

  • Visual Polish: Various graphical tweaks and optimizations across all dungeon environments
