Old World News Roundup
At the end of March, the Empires of the Indus DLC launched for Old World. Empires of the Indus takes players to the vibrant and turbulent world of the Indian subcontinent as it grapples with the rise of several mighty dynasties. As the biggest DLC in the game's history, it added a wealth of content, including:
Three new playable nations: the Mauryas, the Yuezhi, and the Tamilakam. Each represents a major player across a 600-year period of opportunity and upheaval that shaped the subcontinent for centuries.
- Two new religionsHinduism and Buddhism. Each of the 3 new nations begins with Hinduism, while the Mauryans can establish Buddhism as a new world religion.
A new tribe: the Huns. Hailing from the Steppes, this formidable tribe will be a great challenge to would-be conquerors, and features unique events that cover the emergence of Attila the Hun.
Four new Wonders, one for each cultural level: The Great Stupa at Sanchi. the prestigious Mahaviara, the Monumental Buddhas, and the Mighty Chittorgarh Hill Fort.
A new vegetation type (the Jungle), over 200 new events, 60 new ambitions, 11 new Cognomens, four new rare resources (Jade, Silk, Spices, and Ebony), three new map scripts, and five new premade maps.

This patch focused primarily on unit and tech tree rebalances, network code improvements, UI tweaks, and additional quality-of-life adjustments, like preventing the AI from founding religions before players are able to. https://steamcommunity.com/games/597180/announcements/detail/526498885413110616 Earlier this month, the May Update gave a buff to crossbow strength, rebalanced tech costs, and added a new map search function. Just like the April update, this patch also included several UI improvements across all areas of the game. https://steamcommunity.com/games/597180/announcements/detail/670616610165227899 Thanks for reading, and best of luck building your legacy! ~ The Hooded Horse Team
