changed#1 Lobby UI Adjusted for Clarity : This game runs on a single-button, single-interaction system — no mouse, no menus, no selection cursors. Navigation is handled entirely through keystrokes, with text indicating what each input does. The problem was that plain text alone wasn't always clear enough at a glance. Now, key interactions — such as entering Story Mode or Arcade Mode — are placed on red-backed rectangles, making the most important actions immediately visible without needing to read through everything first.
added#5 Exercise Mode Auto Mode Added : A new option within Exercise Mode that handles input automatically. Useful for observation, practice reference, or simply watching the loop play itself out.
added#7 Achievement Notes Added : A dedicated space where cleared levels leave their mark — a stamp of completion that builds over time. Alongside it, patch note and hidden command references sit on either side, keeping everything in one place.
added#8 Hidden Commands : Two new hidden commands are on their way in the full release — one for accessing radio scripts, and one for changing the type indicator. They won't be in the demo, but they're coming.
added#9 Quick Restart Now Available When Accessing Options in Exercise Mode : Opening the options menu during Exercise Mode now allows for a quick restart from within. One less interruption to the flow.

Steam Next Fest brought a lot of eyes to Pendulum Meadows — and with those eyes came feedback. Honest feedback. The kind that points at the small friction points and says: this could be clearer. This issue is the response to that. Not a dramatic overhaul, but a careful, deliberate pass through the parts of the experience that needed a little more attention.

#2 Lobby Practice Loop Now Uses Level Text : When practicing a level's loop in the lobby, the text displayed was previously randomized. It now shows the actual text from that level — so what you practice is exactly what you'll play.

#3 Lobby Practice Loop Text Updates Before the Loop Starts : A small but meaningful timing fix. The text for the upcoming loop now updates before the loop begins, rather than during it. No more reading on the fly.

#4 Difficulty Display Now Includes Vinyl Step Range : Difficulty was previously shown as a standalone label. It now also displays the available Vinyl Step range alongside it — so at a glance, you can see both how hard a level is and how many letters you'll be working with.

#5 Exercise Mode Auto Mode Added : A new option within Exercise Mode that handles input automatically. Useful for observation, practice reference, or simply watching the loop play itself out.

#6 Patch Notes & Hidden Commands Now Accessible From the Lobby : Both the patch notes and hidden command list can now be viewed directly from the game lobby. No need to go elsewhere.

#7 Achievement Notes Added : A dedicated space where cleared levels leave their mark — a stamp of completion that builds over time. Alongside it, patch note and hidden command references sit on either side, keeping everything in one place.

#8 Hidden Commands : Two new hidden commands are on their way in the full release — one for accessing radio scripts, and one for changing the type indicator. They won't be in the demo, but they're coming.

The final issue covers the options menu — rebuilt with player feedback in mind. A cleaner layout, more accessible controls, and adjustments made because you asked for them. More on that next time.

Usability is often the quiet work that doesn't get celebrated. But it matters — maybe more than most things. Thanks for the feedback that made this possible. It was put to good use.
