First of all - A huge thank you to everyone who has wishlisted Obitus so far - Your early support truly means the world and helps push the project forward in a big way.
This marks what I call Foundation - a core update laying the groundwork for everything to come. After two closed playtests, this is whats been done and includes the most essential systems and improvements that pave the way toward a full release on Steam.
What been done?
Added: • Gamepad support • Steam functionality • Steam achievements • Stream lobby/match system • Option to hide UI • Game start countdown • Campfires • Lens flare for the sun • Cancel option when using or consuming items • Freshwater access • Item - Map access Balanced: • Footstep sounds • Stamina regeneration Fixed: • Crash related to item durability • Empty chat messages • Inventory item menu functions • Exploit: gaining points from hitting dead players • Ice pick damage calculation • Drop chance logic (rare drops are now less frequent) • Incorrect item names • Placement issues with campfires and mines • Crafting issues • Inventory full bug • Lobby player count not updating correctly • Sky counter bug • Pod humming sound distance • General inventory system stability • Running animation glitching when running out of stamina Updated: • UI design Known Issues: • Swimming is not functional (players can still go underwater) Coming dev logs will be more "visual" and il promise to add some eye candy and not just boring text!
