Rebalancing

We’ve refined the game’s economy to make progression smoother and more rewarding.

Item Trades

  • We reduced item requirements for trades.

  • Bounty trades now require fewer materials, making early summons like the Scholar more accessible.

Consumables

  • Consumables are slightly more expensive, with steeper increases in Ultimate Nightmare mode—buy wisely!

Cosmetics

  • All clothing items now cost a flat 30 coins, except for the newly added Gold Jacket.

Shard & Coin Drops

  • Shard drops from enemies are reduced in early levels but increased in later levels.

  • Coin drops have been reduced overall.

Material Drop Rates

  • Materials now drop consistently: 70% on The Nightmare/Ultimate Nightmare and 90% on Face Your Fears. Using Lucky Tea guarantees a 100% drop rate.

Merchant Improvements

  • After completing an act, players can purchase materials for that act’s monsters directly from the merchant—though at a premium price.

Additional Changes

  • The Greg Whistle is now free 🐈

  • Picking up items while at the carry limit now grants 5 coins instead of the item’s full value, for balancing.

New-to-You Music

Sleuthful players have previously asked us about this unused game song. A version of the song (Phase 2) did appear in 1.0, but this version was unused completely. We can reveal that this track will make an appearance in Act 4 of Ultimate Edition!

Wait, Act 4?
