Not Quite Dead: Open World Survival changes
Over the last few days, we’ve been working on a lot of fixes, improvements, and new content for Not Quite Dead. This update focuses on better combat, improved character visuals, item balancing, quality of life improvements, and overall polish across the game. Steam post image
Fixes & Improvements
Fixed the axe position on the player’s back.
Fixed floating objects in the world.
Fixed truck collision issues.
Fixed radiation zones appearing in green/safe areas.
Trucks now start with 200 HP out of 500 and 10% fuel.
Fixed the crowbar position in hand and on the player’s back.
Fixed car wheels in co-op.
Fixed crafting requirements so recipes are consistent across all crafting menus.
Fixed female clothing issues.
Fixed the jump section in the tutorial monster truck area.
Removed ladders that could not be used.
Renamed Bread to Small Food Pack. Steam post image
Combat & Weapons
Added new weapon sounds for the AK, SCAR, M4, and pistols.
Added recoil to weapons.
Fixed weapon sounds and muzzle flash when using a silencer.
Added a new AK icon to better match the real in-game model.
Added a new AK-47 with scope for better aiming and reduced recoil.
Added a new ammo type: 6.8×51mm (.277 Fury) for the SIG MCX Spear.
Added a new hunter rifle.
Characters & Customization
Added a new zombie model. Steam post image
Changed the character model.
Added a new character system with more customization.
Characters now use clothing directly on the model.
Gameplay Balance
Starting zombies now have less HP and deal less damage to make the early game more accessible.
Added a new backpack system when you die.
UI & Quality of Life
Coming Soon a new Skill UI. Steam post image
More Quality of Life improvements are coming.
Added clearer feedback for multiplayer invitations (currently there is no confirmation message when inviting friends).
Improving game flow and usability across multiple systems.
World & Future Improvements
We’re continuing to expand and polish the game before release.
Planned improvements include:
More places to explore and discover.
More polish across the entire game.
Making the experience smoother and more enjoyable.
Additional Quality of Life updates.
Support for multiple languages at release.
