Not Quite Dead: Open World Survival changes
A new update is coming to the playtest with many improvements, fixes, and new content to explore.
New Improvements
The map menu now has a new design, making it cleaner and easier to use.
Required item levels are now easier to see, so players can better understand what they can equip. Steam post image
Crafting now has categories, making recipes easier to browse and manage. Steam post image
Weapon descriptions now show what type of ammo each weapon uses. Steam post image
Balance Changes
The Fire Axe now deals 35 damage.
The Machete can now be used at level 1, making it more useful early in the game.
Armor protection values have also been fixed so they better match the type of clothing or armor being worn.
New Content & Exploration
More loot has been added to the Port. Steam post image
Work has started on a small military base. Steam post image
More vegetation has been added around the mountain area.
Zombies have been added to the Nuke Zone, along with more loot to make the area more rewarding to explore.
A helicopter will also be added for the playtest only.
New Trader Feature
A new objective has been added: Save the Trader.
After saving the trader, you will receive a laptop that allows you to sell items directly from your base.
For now, the laptop can only be used to sell items.
Fixes
Fixed looting inside houses, so players can loot containers more easily when looking down. Steam post image
