This patch focuses on stability, quality-of-life improvements, Survival Mode refinements, Encampment progression, and numerous bug fixes based on community feedback.

Thank you to everyone who has continued reporting bugs and sharing feedback since the Survival Update. Your reports have helped us identify and resolve many of the issues included in this patch.

Gameplay

  • Villagers can now be assigned to Sleeping Tents during the Encampment tier.

  • Recruitment has been re-enabled during the Encampment stage of progression.

  • Added additional Encampment quest objectives to better guide new players.

  • Updated Encampment Kingdom Tier requirements.

  • Medicine can now be used to restore Health, even when no affliction is active.

  • Increased the New Recruit effect duration from 15 minutes to 20 minutes.

  • Players will no longer be returned to the main menu after dying in Survival Mode when Permadeath is disabled.

  • Interaction actions are no longer interrupted by non-combat damage, such as starvation.

  • Food can now always be consumed when Survival Mode is disabled.

AI & Villagers

  • Improved pet follow behavior to keep companions closer to the player.

  • Villagers will now only stop working when Starving instead of simply Hungry, reducing unnecessary work interruptions.

  • Fixed villagers becoming unable to retrieve resources from the Storehouse for certain workstations.

  • Improved wildlife navigation around water

  • Fixed an issue that could prevent deer from moving correctly.

  • Resolved several AI navigation and movement edge cases.

Building & Resources

  • Sleeping Tents can now function as villager housing.

  • Improved foliage clearing around newly placed structures.

  • Fixed several build collision and placement issues.

  • Large build parts can no longer be placed on top of Supply Carts.

  • Improved Supply Cart navigation.

  • Cooking Tents now correctly place crafted items into the player's inventory instead of global storage.

  • Improved crafting inventory transfer behavior.

  • Animal carcasses can no longer be harvested if the player's inventory is full.

  • Clay deposits have been adjusted to improve interaction.

  • Berry density has been adjusted throughout forest biomes.

User Interface

  • Improved UI scaling across different screen resolutions.

  • Fixed the Reset All button in Input Settings.

  • Added missing names for several remappable input actions.

  • Fixed Tactical View rotation after rebinding controls.

  • Improved Building Mode HUD and controller support.

  • Updated the Market interface to make purchasing items easier.

  • Items can now also be purchased directly from the Kingdom Building Details menu.

  • Added a Delete All Saves option to the Save Browser with controller support.

  • Updated several interface elements, including a new Masterwork Chest icon.

  • Additional UI polish and bug fixes.

Quests

  • Improved quest descriptions and objective clarity.

  • Updated the opening berry gathering scenario with clearer instructions.

  • Added additional ledger text for the Encampment questline.

  • Reduced the frequency of A Cure for the Afflicted.

  • Fixed several quest progression and marker edge cases.

  • Improved localization support for quest objectives.

  • General narrative and correspondence polish.

Audio & Visual

  • Improved horse footstep audio attenuation.

  • Reduced terrain rendering artifacts.

  • Improved landscape texture stability.

  • Improved sleeping and wake-up positioning.

  • Fixed lingering creature animations after death.

Stability & Fixes

  • Fixed a save-related crash.

  • Improved autosave behavior.

  • Added additional save management improvements.

  • Improved interaction reliability.

  • Improved animation handling during interactions.

  • Fixed several collision issues affecting melee combat.

  • Numerous stability, collision, save, performance, and gameplay fixes.
