Important Information
New Save Required
Due to the scope of changes introduced in the Survival Update, existing Kingdom Mode saves are not compatible and a new save will be required.
This update fundamentally changes:
Kingdom progression
Survival systems
Sleep & Save mechanics
Settlement onboarding
Character progression
Attempting to continue older Kingdom or Custom Modes saves may result in missing content or unexpected behavior.
Creative Mode saves are not impacted.
New Reset Config & Prefabs Option
A new Reset Config & Prefabs option has been added to the Main Menu.
This tool allows players to quickly perform a clean reset without manually navigating AppData folders or Workshop subscriptions.
Using these options will:
Reset All Settings
Clear Keybinds
Delete Local Prefabs
Unsubscribe All Workshop Prefabs
We recommend using this option if you experience issues during early access and for a clean baseline. We also highly recommend using this if you have very old saves or are subscribed to prefabs on steam workshop that may be outdated. (Note that save games are not impacted, you must manually delete saves)
A Thank You To Our Early Access Community
Before we continue, we want to take a moment to thank every one of you who has supported Noble Legacy throughout Early Access.
We know the journey hasn't always been smooth.
Many of you have endured bugs, balancing changes, major gameplay overhauls, save wipes, and experimental systems as we've continued building Noble Legacy into the game we envision it becoming.
The Survival Update represents one of the largest transformations the game has undergone so far, and many of the systems included in this update exist because of feedback directly from the community.
Your bug reports, suggestions, criticism, and encouragement have played a major role in helping us shape the future of Noble Legacy.
As a small development team, we simply could not do this without you.
Thank you for your patience, your support, and for believing in our vision.
Free Limited-Time DLC: Alaunt War Dog
As a token of our appreciation, all current owners of Noble Legacy will receive access to the Alaunt War Dog Companion DLC free of charge for a limited time.
The Alaunt is a loyal medieval war dog companion that can accompany you throughout your adventures in Greenwood.
We hope this companion serves as a small thank you for supporting Noble Legacy throughout Early Access and helping us reach this milestone.
Major Features
Player Survival System
Players must now manage their own personal survival through a new set of survival statistics.
New Survival Stats
Hunger
Warmth
Hygiene
Energy
Afflictions
Players can now:
Eat food to restore Hunger and Energy
Warm themselves at campfires and hearths
Bathe using wash basins and tubs
Rest and recover through sleep
Energy System
Energy is a new stamina-related attribute.
As Energy is depleted through activities such as combat, construction, harvesting, farming, crafting, research, and animal husbandry, your maximum stamina will gradually decrease until you rest and recover.
New Survival HUD
Added new HUD elements for:
Hunger
Energy
Warmth
Hygiene
Afflictions are now displayed through dedicated status effect indicators.
A new Player Statistics Panel has also been added to the inventory interface.
Permadeath
A new Permadeath option has been added to Custom Game Mode for players seeking a more punishing experience. In the future, achievements and additional challenges may be tied to this option.
As Noble Legacy's Marriage, Family, and Heir systems come into play, death will eventually become part of a broader Legacy system where players may continue their story through a surviving heir rather than losing their entire kingdom. Until then, permadeath remains an optional challenge designed for players seeking a harsher survival experience.
Sleep & Save System
Kingdom Mode now features a character-based Sleep & Save system.
Instead of relying on traditional manual saves, players save their progress through their assigned bed. Our goal is to create greater tension, encourage preparation, and make exploration, hunting, and survival decisions feel more meaningful.
Daytime
Save Game
Nighttime
Sleep & Save
Advance time to morning
Restore health
Recover energy
Remove minor afflictions
Simulate overnight settlement activity
Players can now construct personal homes long before reaching the Manor stage, allowing them to live alongside their villagers as their settlement grows.
Tier 0 - Encampments
A brand-new progression tier has been added to Kingdom Mode.
Before establishing a permanent settlement, players must first survive their earliest days in Greenwood.
New Encampment Structures
Campfire
Portable Tent
Supply Cart
Makeshift Hunting Tent
Makeshift Cooking Tent
These structures introduce cooking, warmth, storage, hunting, crafting, and shelter systems while serving as the foundation of your first settlement.
World Expansion & Resource Overhaul
The world of Greenwood has received a significant exploration and resource update.
New Lakes & Ponds
Several new lakes, ponds, and freshwater locations have been added throughout the map, creating new landmarks, improving exploration opportunities, and helping break up the landscape with more varied terrain and points of interest.
New Poplar Forest Biome
A new Poplar Forest biome has been introduced to Greenwood, expanding the variety of woodland environments players can encounter while exploring.
This biome features unique visual identity, resource distribution, and serves as a new source of Poplar wood throughout the world.
Resource Distribution Overhaul
Resources across Greenwood have been completely rebalanced and redistributed.
Our goal was to create a more logical and immersive gathering experience while encouraging players to explore different regions of the map.
Changes include:
Rebalanced resource densities throughout Greenwood
Improved distribution of harvestable resources
New Wild Flax locations
Updated forest resource generation
Improved seasonal foliage distribution
More distinct biome identities
Player Homes
Players can now establish dedicated homes much earlier in progression.
New player-exclusive furnishings include:

Looking Ahead
The Survival Update is more than a collection of new mechanics—it's the foundation for the future of Noble Legacy.
Our goal is to create challenge through preparation, planning, and meaningful decision-making rather than arbitrary punishment. Survival systems now create tension through exploration, resource management, harsh conditions, and risk, while preserving the kingdom-building experience that sits at the heart of the game.
Looking beyond Survival, our next major milestone is Hearth & Heart.
While this update focuses on enduring the wilderness, Hearth & Heart will focus on the people who inhabit your kingdom. Marriage, households, children, heirs, and legacy progression will play a much larger role in shaping your story.
The Survival Update lays the foundation. Hearth & Heart will begin building the legacy.
Thank you for being part of the journey. We can't wait to share more with you soon.
