Noble Legacy changes
It is time to share an update on what we have been building and where Noble Legacy is headed next. The upcoming February update completes our Foundations of the Realm milestone. The team has focused on strengthening core systems that will support major content expansions arriving next month as the game continues to grow.
Below is an overview of what is coming in this update!
Durability System and Toolbar Rework
A full durability system has been implemented across tools, weapons, and equipment. The toolbar and hotbar have been rebuilt to properly support equipment slots, durability tracking, and improved inventory references. We have incorporated a dedicated toolbar, opening up the hotbar to freely assign tools and weapons how you see fit.
Combat and Raids
Skull indicators now appear both in the villager tab and in the world when villagers are incapacitated, making it easier to respond during attacks. Raid frequency has been reduced as we prepare to introduce bandits through dynamic quest events. Raids now provide a one-day advance warning, including directional indicators showing where the attack will originate. Next month, the raid system will expand further, with improved bandit behavior that focuses on targeting storehouses and goods rather than chasing villagers into their homes.
Equippable Cloaks and Outerwear Slot
Players and villagers now have an outerwear equipment slot. Craftable fur collars and cloaks have been added, laying the groundwork for expanded weather and survival systems. Temperature tracking has begun implementation, and certain items will provide warmth as we prepare for the Affliction system arriving next month.
Guard Duty System
Guards can now be assigned to garrison duty posts. Assignment tracking and AI behavior have been expanded to better support defensive play and settlement protection.
Kingdom Mode Opening Alignment
Kingdom Mode now includes the onboarding quest “A Steward’s Charge,” introducing the political alignment system and the Six Barons at the start of your rule. The Opening Alignment sequence has been reworked to better establish the lore of the Six Nobles and set up the future trading mechanics that will allow players to influence the outcome of Duke William’s invasion through the Kingmaker system.
The Lord’s Ledger
The Lord’s Ledger now records major events within your realm. This system establishes the foundation for expanded quest content, diplomacy, and dynamic events with significantly more reactive, condition-based challenges arriving next update.
World Map and Custom Map Deployment
The World Map has been introduced, featuring improved spawn selection, custom map deployment, waypoint placement, and player markers.
Animal Husbandry
Animal Husbandry is now rolling out. Cows, pigs, and sheep can be housed in pastures, with production integrated into the broader economy. A future update will introduce the Animal Trader, allowing livestock to hold trade value and serve as a foundation for breeding and offspring systems.
Tutorial and Guide Updates
Scenario 1 and Scenario 2 have been refined with dialogue improvements, quest fixes, voice-over integration, and structural adjustments to support new systems. The Guide Tab has been reviewed and expanded to reflect updated mechanics and rebalanced systems.
Economy and Progression Rebalance
A comprehensive rebalance has been completed across villager traits, item values, taxation, building upgrade costs, recruitment costs, and kingdom tier progression.
Your settlement will soon face more meaningful threats that test its stability and resilience.
You may also notice increased villager detail, as villagers now visibly carry resources based on their assigned jobs, with additional improvements planned.
We look forward to sharing this update with you soon. When we drop the update we will have a full list of Update Notes and Changes. Thank you for your continued support as we continue to grow and expand Noble Legacy!
