Fortresses

Fortresses Screen

The Fortresses screen shows you a list of all Fortresses in your game. It includes the combination of Official, Local, and Mods.

The Enabled toggles choose which Fortresses your NPC Kingdoms can use.

Choose Fortresses that can be used in your world and try them out

Capture Fortresses

The Fortress screen also includes the ability to Capture your current base for use by NPC Kingdoms as Fortresses.

Mark the Tags that drive which NPC Kingdoms are likely to live there. The Preview Image is snapped from the POV of the Camera when you Capture.

Fortress Mods

Upload the Fortresses you've Captured as Mods directly from the Fortresses screen - no need to manually edit any files. The Fortress will automatically mark any Mods required as dependencies so that other Players can Subscribe to them.

Once your Fortress is Uploaded, the game will open the Steam Workshop page for it, modify it as you see fit and then mark it as Public for other players to use.

Fortress Raids!

You can try out any Fortress you'd like from the Fortresses screen by clicking the Raid button - this will start a new save off with you Raiding an NPC Kingdom living in that Fortress with a comparable army.

Use this to test your Fortresses before Uploading them, to try out new Mods you've downloaded, or to enjoy a little risk free Raiding!

You can also use this as a jump start on a new Save - taking anything you can carry with you back to your new Kingdom's empty home to start - keep an eye out for those pesky Prestige and Lodging needs though!

New Official Fortresses!

Finally, we've added a batch of new Official Fortresses, many submitted by players.

Here are a few that stand out:

Knucklehume Shire (c/o Spice)

Knuckleteeth Reef (c/o Caramel)

Mealydoor Mire (c/o Caramel)

Mealyhop Lake (c/o Caramel)

Steinkkat Stream (c/o Caramel)
