No Time For Pants changes
Hello N.O.R.M.s!
This update brings No Time For Pants to version 1.2. The focus of this update is a major expansion of vent traversal, a revamp of the loot system, and meaningful performance and stability improvements as the facility continues to grow.
Thank you for the continued feedback and support as this update lays important groundwork for where the game is heading next.
🛠️ BUG FIXES & STABILITY
Weapon information popup at the top of the UI is now functioning correctly
Fixed an issue causing interaction icons to flicker
General stability and performance refinements
🎮 VENT TRAVERSAL EXPANSION
Steam post imageTraversable vents have been added to Medical, Office, Laboratory and Lobby areas.
Vents introduce a new traversal layer that can dramatically change how you approach a run.
Use the vent system to:
Discover alternate routes and hidden rooms
Bypass locked doors and heavily guarded hallways
Ambush enemies from above
Vent connections are randomized, meaning no two vent runs are the same.
Added new loot room that is only accessible through the vents This reward comes with risk - tight spaces, limited visibility, and deadly encounters. Getting trapped in the vents, especially with gas Ankle Biters, can end a run quickly.
Vents also come with their own audio profile that muffles the sound of weapons
Short-barreled weapons are your friend.
💎 LOOT SYSTEM UPGRADE: IDENTITY & PROGRESSION
Loot has received a major upgrade, focusing on clarity and progression.
All items now use a color-coded quality system:
Common
Uncommon
Rare
Epic
Legendary
Unique
Seasonal
New Seasonal Loot Chests have been added that exclusively drop seasonal items
This system improves readability, reinforces progression, and sets the foundation for future loot expansion.

⚙️ PERFORMANCE & OPTIMIZATION
Section instantiation has been overhauled.
Most of the heavy lifting for section creation now occurs during elevator rides. You may notice brief hang-ups there, but movement through active sections is now significantly smoother.
A dedicated loading transition is planned to further improve this experience.
⚠️ known issues ⚠️
If you are firing when a stutter from loading an area occurs you might dump your mag. This can be rare but I've seen it happening so its worth mentioning that I'm on it.
When crouching, snap points in the inventory screen are not going to align with your character. If you equip a weapon while crouching and then stand, the snap points for that weapon are going to be placed at the position where it was equipped.
