addedOrnamentsThe big new feature this patch. After certain combat encounters, you'll earn ornaments that attach to your ship's windshield. They come in different rarities and carry passive modifiers that stay active for your entire run, things like "if your shields are at 0, increase damage by 50%." You'll collect a handful over the course of a run, but they don't carry over between runs, so each attempt starts fresh.
changedPause is BackBy popular demand! The pause function has been restored so you can take a breath and think through your next move mid-combat without the clock eating you alive. The keybind is space on keyboard, and the right analog stick on controller (the thing where you push down on it and it clicks... open to suggestions for alternatives).
addedNew Weapon TypeWe're adding a plasma weapons that specializes in shredding armor, giving you a dedicated answer to the tank-ier enemies you'll run into. Some enemies also have these weapons though, which will shred your armor more easily.

We've got another demo update ready for you, and this one's packed with additions to the core experience.

Ornaments

The big new feature this patch.

Boss Encounters Got More Interesting

Drone ships now accompany the boss fight, acting as minions that go down when the boss does. This should make the encounter feel a lot more dynamic.

Pause is Back

By popular demand! The pause function has been restored so you can take a breath and think through your next move mid-combat without the clock eating you alive. The keybind is space on keyboard, and the right analog stick on controller (the thing where you push down on it and it clicks... open to suggestions for alternatives).

New Weapon Type

We're adding a plasma weapons that specializes in shredding armor, giving you a dedicated answer to the tank-ier enemies you'll run into. Some enemies also have these weapons though, which will shred your armor more easily.

And some cosmetic stuff:

  • New card art to make cards easier to read and identify at a glance

  • New music tracks (some bangers, if we do say so ourselves)

  • Performance optimizations and bugfixes scattered throughout

Thanks for playing and keeping the feedback coming, it helps to shape what we work on next.
