addedHere’s a rundown of all the updates:Conveyor belt card dealing: Cards now get dealt into your hand from the right, and if you're holding too many cards they get shredded starting from the left. addedHere’s a rundown of all the updates:Balance changes: Tweaked things like weapons and armor, loot drop rates, enemies, cards, and shop pricings. We’ll of course keep improving balance as more features and content gets added.
removedHere’s a rundown of all the updates:Ship Mod Update: Multiple levels of the same mod can no longer be stacked, so if you have “Sabotage 1 and 2” unlocked, only Sabotage 2 can be applied. See it more like “upgrading your mods” instead of unlocking multiple.

Hello everyone!

To celebrate Deckbuilders Fest we have released a bunch of big updates to the Night Machine demo. But, before we start off, let us just mention that we’ve added dedicated sections in our Discord where you can chat to the devs, report bugs and help us improve the overall experience. Join us here.

Now to the juicy stuff, check out our Video Dev Diary, or read the changelog below:

Here’s a rundown of all the updates:

  • Conveyor belt card dealing: Cards now get dealt into your hand from the right, and if you're holding too many cards they get shredded starting from the left. Cards can also be repositioned in your hand, which allows you to prioritize which cards will be discarded first and also lets us add cards with positional effects like "duplicate the card to the right of this card”

  • Timed cardsAdded cards which change their behavior based on how long they've been in your hand. For example: Armor repair that repairs 5, but the number goes down every few seconds.
  • More cardsAdded a bunch of other new cards to the roster, too!
  • Balance changesTweaked things like weapons and armor, loot drop rates, enemies, cards, and shop pricings. We’ll of course keep improving balance as more features and content gets added.
  • Ship Mod Update: Multiple levels of the same mod can no longer be stacked, so if you have “Sabotage 1 and 2” unlocked, only Sabotage 2 can be applied. See it more like “upgrading your mods” instead of unlocking multiple.

  • Selected Card Zoom: To help people with smaller screens, you can now make your selected card bigger and easier to read (or smaller, if you want to see more of what’s going on behind it).

  • Controller Support (WIP): We now have controller support! Let us know if you run into any issues.

  • Other ImprovementsUnlocked items and cards now appear after a run, the starter decks for both ships have been tweaked, and as always, tons of smaller updates and bugfixes have been made.

Thanks for reading, stay tuned for more!
