Major Update #02 : A New World

Just now as I'm posting this I realized that I can't remember everything I've been updating in the past few months. Lots and lots of little things. Bug fixes, performance tweaks, etc.

changedJust now as I'm posting this I realized that I can't remember everything I've been updating in the past few months. Lots and lots of little things. Bug fixes, performance tweaks, etc. What makes this our 2nd major update is something else entirely.
changedMonths ago, I finally found an independent artist with the right kind of pixel art style to give Neverspring it's much needed makeover. It feels especially cool because the purchase and licensing fees were accomplished as a direct result of the players who supported the game. So thank you to the players! I genuinely couldn't have done it without you. o/
changedThe entire game world has been updated.
addedAll the work I did during the game's original development really paid off. Since I had built the game with a little light of hope, every map had a duplicate that held dummy tiles just in case this day ever came. As such, I'm happy to say that this update will not adversely effect any old save files. Tile for tile, there should be no old world to new world collision problems... (knock on wood)
changedSeveral performance tweaks.
changedThe starting level and the last level have had their loot adjusted.

The entire game world has been updated.

Thanks to the pixel artist "Electric Lemon", I have been able to shape custom graphics for Neverspring Chronicles. (Even graphics for possible future installments)

All the work I did during the game's original development really paid off. Since I had built the game with a little light of hope, every map had a duplicate that held dummy tiles just in case this day ever came. There will surely be spots I missed or little areas that need another once-over. However, I've put in a lot of work to make sure the game world is completely converted. Hopefully the game will look much cleaner now with a uniform pixel art style.

  • Full game world art update.

  • Several bug fixes.

  • Several performance tweaks.

  • An old Dwarf Tech vending machine can be found on the upper levels for adventurers who need another item or two to get things done.

  • The starting level and the last level have had their loot adjusted.

  • Indicators for dodge, counter, parry, and reflect have been added in battle.

  • No more voice fx during victory... "yawn, better luck next time!"

I know there's more but I've been working at it so much, I can't remember right now. Thanks again to everyone out there! I hope you like the new look, I'll be smoothing it out more over time.
