Necrosis: Dawn of Dread changes
The next chapter of Necrosis: Dawn of Dread has arrived.
Today I'm excited to release The Asylum, an all-new mission that continues the campaign immediately after Train. Explore an abandoned psychiatric hospital consumed by the outbreak, uncover its disturbing history, solve new puzzles, and survive the horrors lurking within its walls.
New Mission: The Asylum
The Asylum delivers a compact but intense survival horror experience, featuring new puzzles, unsettling environments, and a relentless atmosphere from beginning to end, featuring:
A brand-new campaign mission
New puzzles and objectives
Unique environments and atmosphere
New enemy encounters and challenges
Additional story elements expanding the world of Romero City
Like every mission in Necrosis, teamwork, resource management, and communication will be key to surviving.
Campaign Progression Overhaul
This update also introduces a restructured level progression system.
Instead of unlocking missions in tiers, players will now progress through the campaign in a more carefully curated order. This allows new players to gradually learn the game's mechanics while experiencing the story and difficulty curve as intended.
The new progression provides:
A smoother introduction to core gameplay systems
Better pacing between missions
A more natural increase in challenge
A stronger sense of progression throughout the campaign
New players should now enjoy a much more cohesive first experience.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone who has supported Necrosis: Dawn of Dread since launch. Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping the game, and I'm excited for everyone to experience The Asylum.
