IN-GAME BUILD VERSION 1853

Career & Operation Steam Workshop Support is Live!

Time for something different—

Steam Workshop support for Career mode campaigns and standalone Operation levels is now open. After downloading, you can experience them in their respective game modes.

Career Mode

To prevent severe issues like forced campaign flow changes caused by creator updates, or lost Career saves due to Workshop items being taken down, we have built a dedicated download/update manager for Career mode. When you download a campaign file or when a creator updates it, the campaign will not install automatically. You need to head to the "Switch Campaign" menu in the Career interface and manage it manually in the bottom right corner.

Operation Mode

Once subscribed and downloaded, Workshop levels will automatically appear in the selectable level list within the Operation mode rooms.

The Editors are Officially Live!

Want to play around with the editor? Want to sit back and watch massive AI fleet brawls? No need to go through the hassle of dropping files into your C drive anymore—the Operation Editor and Campaign Editor are now officially live! You can access them directly from the Main Menu.

Don't forget to check the Quick Start Guide!

Besides reading the text tutorial, you can also deconstruct the official levels to see how they tick. We have prepared a bilingual (English & Chinese) Quick Start Guide for Operation mode. You can jump directly to it by clicking the graduation cap icon in the top right corner. The Campaign Editor for Career mode doesn't have a detailed tutorial just yet, but the core design logic within the levels is largely the same.

Main Menu Combat Mode Button Consolidation

The Main Menu button list was getting too long to fit! To optimize this, we have consolidated the combat mode buttons into a new secondary menu. Alongside the combat modes, the Career Editor and Operation Editor now also utilize this structure.

Fixes

  • n1326-1328 German 210mm/45 SK L/45 Naval GunScaled up by 1.4x and adjusted the barrel thickness to resolve incorrect sizing issues.
  • n1075, 1076 China Deck Hatch (Dalian)Fixed an issue with incorrect face normal orientations.
  • Fixed a bug where game modes were not displaying correctly in the multiplayer room list.

  • Fixed a text error in Career Mode: QuickSortie (Beta) Chapter 2, Mission 2.

  • Fixed an issue where the runway maintenance prompt text was missing the remaining time display.

  • Fixed missing English localization in the Operation level "Sea of Dreadnoughts," which was caused by the variable translator's inability to save English double quotes.

  • Fixed an issue where the variable translator failed to process special characters when reading translation files.

Adjustments

  • Replaced the UFC faction camouflage in Career Mode: QuickSortie (Beta) Chapter 2, Mission 2.

  • Added new category tags for the Steam Workshop.

  • Added Simplified Chinese localization for Workshop tags. (Note: Due to unknown reasons on Steam's backend, the tag category localization changes are not taking effect at the moment.)

Upcoming Features

As the core mechanic of Version 1.5, the basic Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) system is still in active development. Alongside the ASW mechanics, many brand new and reworked parts are on the way!

Furthermore, considering that adjustments to the armor and ballistics system will heavily affect the combat pacing—especially regarding future level design—we have decided to push forward a portion of the shell damage rework. By further refining the ballistics algorithm, we aim to optimize the current damage issues in the short term. A dedicated public test branch will be opened for this, and we welcome all players to participate and share their feedback. Please keep an eye on upcoming Steam announcements.

Additionally, we will begin development of the Terrain Editor in Version 1.51, allowing captains to sail their warships across even more battlefields and create more possibilities on the high seas!
