Absolutely massive pre-launch patch! Hey everyone. Thank you SO MUCH for all of the support in the Steam Autumn Festival! It was so great seeing you all there and be able to show off Mystic Hammer.

Hey everyone. Thank you SO MUCH for all of the support in the Steam Autumn Festival! It was so great seeing you all there and be able to show off Mystic Hammer.

The game will be releasing Oct 23rd (Next Friday!)

Version 91

ADDITIONS

  1. Added DOZENS of new levels, enemies, combat mechanics

  2. Added a crafting tutorial

  3. Game now has hotkeys 1-6 for defenders and Q,W, and E for abilities.

  4. Tower Run mode has now been added to the game - You start with 1k gold. - How far will you push? Unlimited waves. Every 5 levels saves your progress and loot. - Enemies now scale up in Tower runs based on how high the wave is. - Units will gradually phase into tower run mode in the beginning so as not to overwhelm the player with high level mobs in wave 1-15 or so.

  5. Added a mysterious (and difficult) boss! - Mysterious boss now casts lightning correctly and changes damage amount! - Mysterious Boss now has different spell casting effects for each type of spell he casts. - New Mysterious boss now teleports around the screen. - Mystery boss now casts meteor and "DOOM"

  6. The knight can now ascend to a new class: Paladin. - The paladin has a ton of health. - The paladin inflicts burn on hit up to 3 stacks. - The paladin can heal himself for 50% of his attack damage.

  7. Added another boss to the game - This one will jump around the screen. - Barrels WILL be thrown at your units with a surprise critter inside!

  8. Added Fire Elemental enemy - Fire Elementals now shoot meteors from the sky! - Fire Elementals also inflict burn on hit.

  9. Added Desert Peper enemy - Desert peeper burrows into the ground and pops up to shoot fireballs at you!

  10. Added Frogmen to the game.

  11. Added Frogment warrior to the game.

  12. Added Frogmen Sorcerer to the game. - Will case curse on you, a debuff that increases damage you take by X%/stack.

  13. Added Sand Bum to the game.

  14. Added new Snow biome.

  15. Added new Desert biome.

  16. Added new Cave biome.

  17. Added windowed option in option popup.

  18. Added resolution option in option popup.

  19. Added new message if you try to ascend a unit you already ascended.

  20. Finally got around to adding 20+ Steam achievements that are now linked!

  21. New Achievements hooked up for Tower Runs 10,20,30,40,50.

  22. Added beavers to the forest.

  23. Added Cactus Kid enemy to the desert.

  24. Added Minotaur Armsman to the snow wasteland.

  25. - He can hit multiple targets in melee range.

  26. Added Minotaur Charger to the snow wasteland.

  27. - He will charge the battlefield quickly and do massive damage to both units in front of him!

  28. Added new music to the entire game composed by Damon Tattersfield

  29. Added the ShapeShifter unit to the game!

  30. - Shapehshifter can transform into a tanky beaver to take damage.

  31. - Can also shift back to human and cast regenerate on other units.

  32. Added the regenerate skill to the game!

  33. Added curse ability to the game!

  34. Changed all cutscene dialogues to use the new parchment instead of speech bubble.

  35. Added new story chapters and updated some existing text.

  36. Added new cutscenes.

  37. Added juciness to Next Wave and Level Lost popups.

FIXES

  1. Fixed a long standing bug in which sometimes melee characters would fight when too far away after losing range.

  2. Optimized the game to not do so many melee calculations unecessarily.

  3. Fixed lighting for new layers in all levels.

  4. Fixes issues with lightning on projectiles.

  5. Fixed critical issue where sometimes cutscenes would save over your last level progress!

  6. Fixed an issue where the XP for chapter 1 would run over the UI.

  7. Fixed a bug where Paladin was healing and Shapeshifter cassting regen in cutscene!

  8. Fixed a bug where shapeshifter would re-shift before dying.

  9. Fixed icon sizes of status ailments on Fire Archer.

  10. Fixed a bug where Necromancers chant would be full screen.

  11. Fixed a bug where Tribal Spirit Shaman and Frogman Sorc would cast spells without targets instead of walking forward.

  12. Fixed up HP bars and Status icons on all units.

  13. Fixed a bug where enemies could sometimes cause you to lose health out of no where.

  14. Fixed issues with Crafting tutorial.

  15. Fixed a bug where enemies were counting damage multiple times to the poor player.

  16. Fixed it so the Forest boss is in front of defenders at all times.

  17. Potentially fixed a collision issue with new beavers and their units they bite!

  18. Finally fixed an issue where melee units were attacking things outside of their range.

  19. Fixed a bug where defenders still weren't attacking tribal spirit shaman.

  20. Cyclops can no longer spawn too high off the screen.

  21. Fixed borders on Level Selector Popup and Tower Run Wave Selector popup.

  22. Fixed a bug where sound could cause the level to get broken midway through.

  23. Fixed formatting of Conversion buttons.

  24. Fixed an issue where conversion amounts would disappear when clicking the button a few times.

  25. Fixed a bug where conversions werenn't saving.

  26. Fixed a bug on mac osx where chain and lock werent showing for locked abilities.

  27. Forcing the graveyard boss to show up for work again!

  28. Fixed a bug where lightning mage sometimes didn't chain her lightning.

  29. Fixed a bug where boss wasn't spawning again!

  30. Fixed bug on home screen with continue / start button.

  31. Fixed a bug where after restarting a level, it actually got harder because achievement bonuses didn't kick in!

  32. Fixed a bug where you can sometime spawn units outside of the intended area.

  33. FIxed some issues with rain sounds in the graveyard.

  34. Fixed a bug where sometimes characters would randomly be lit up and others were darker.

  35. Cyclops will no longer hit things above his head!

  36. Fixed a bug where cutscenes would sometimes roll back the last level you achieved if you watched older ones again.

  37. Fixed bug where tutorial for flying monster would show up at level complete screen.

  38. Fixed up boulder thrown from Cyclops to not hit twice.

  39. Fixed issue where casting slow spell would overwrite root/frozen.

IMPROVEMENTS

  1. Added scythe to necro.

  2. Added skull particle effects.

  3. Renamed cutscenes to better describe the context.

  4. Did an ordering overhaul on the game so that units will no longer have their hair rise above enemies!

  5. Lowered the music volume on the main menu.

  6. Made the options popup a cleaner more consistent UI.

  7. Nerfed level 20 a bit in frequency of spawns.

  8. Nerfed the mushroom kid's attack speed (too quickly stacking poison!)

  9. Added unique sounds for Merchant.

  10. Added unique sounds for Thief.

  11. Added unique sounds for Shapeshifter.

  12. Many new sounds for different units to avoid repetition.

  13. Changed Mage frostbolt sound.

  14. Combat refactor to allow units to hit multiple targets.

  15. Regen now unlocks during cutscene.

  16. Added new portrait for paladin.

  17. Updated snow music to be less jolly.

  18. Boss fights now have separate music.

  19. Added back correct music to crafting screen.

  20. Cutscene dialogue now bounces a bit.

  21. Fixed up Forest cutscene dialogue positions.

  22. Priestess gained a gold discount and higher base healing.

  23. Updated game engine for more efficiencies.

  24. When item resources spawn, they will now be automatically counted even if you can't hover over it in time.

  25. Revamped popups with new UI look.

  26. Boss fight at the end of demo is harder now.

  27. More balance post level 11.

  28. Readjusted waves to make level 1-5 more smooth and give more time to prepare.

  29. Crafting now unlocks at level 5.

  30. Ascending cost down to 100 from 250

  31. Fixed up some UI elements to make it consistent.

  32. Fixed an issue where lights in the tower run weren't flickering.

  33. Cyclops boss now picks up boulder with new animation and throws one.

  34. Cyclops boss no longer does long distance melee attacks on units that his boulder hits.

  35. Fixed more text sizes after engine update.

  36. Thief has had his health reduced as he was way too tanky for the damage he deals out.

  37. Paladin's sword now has...FLAMES!

  38. Upgraded the look of the paladin.

  39. Thieves now steal gold as they are supposed to!

  40. Fixed a bug where tribal shamans and thieves would be at a melee standoff and thief couldnt hit back.

  41. Nerfed Chain Lightning Mages' damage (sorry it was out of control jumping twice!)

  42. Increased damage of Fire arrow archers.

  43. Slightly increased damage over time of burning effect.

  44. Hotkeys now properly cancel the previous Ability.

  45. Ability targetting now shows the icon if the ability you are using from hammer.

  46. Algorithm adjusted for Unlimited Tower Run Mode.

  47. All units in game now can spawn in tower Run mode.

  48. Links for social media now work on all platforms.

  49. Made quick, credits, options buttons smaller.

  50. Add spacer control to main screen so everything is evenly spaced.

  51. Added more female sounds.

  52. Added sounds for the knight.

  53. Some variety over all with sounds.

  54. Changed sound of player level up to be less annoying.

  55. Added a new placement system that will validate placement and make sure no two units can exist on the same square.

  56. Decreased the damage that enemies do to players when they get through.

  57. Level 13 now has a longer preparation time.

  58. Reading the story text now will save automatically so you can return to the level you were at without re reading story.

  59. Added a few seconds more of prep time to level 17

  60. Skeletal Archer got hit with the nerf bat.

  61. You can now interact with the scrollbar after the credits are done rolling instead of needing to hold down the mouse on the background.
