My Liege Bug and Balance Patch #1

Lords and Ladies, It has been a week since launch and I'm happy to report there have been no MAJOR errors or bugs discovered!

My update philosophy for the game now that it is in its launched state will be

  • Bug and Balance patches as needed (lightweight and designed to just fix things)

  • Content Updates as they are ready (new features, updates to existing items, new story elements, and some bug fixes)

My goal with the Content Updates will be one every 4-6 weeks. Patch notes

Bug and Balance Fixes:

  • Morale now carries over from one Act to the next (previously it would start every Act at 1.5/5 no matter what)

  • Max morale achievement can now be earned (see issue above, turns out getting reset to 1.5 was why nobody could get a high enough Morale score)

  • Removed achievement for getting 0/5 Military Strength (impossible to achieve and I did not see a clean way to make it achievable with current story)

  • Can no longer skip the Matters/Cinematics at the end of an Act by selecting "Advance to Next Act" early

  • The Autosave at the start of Act 3 now properly tracks the events of the previous Act (any existing "start of Act 3" autosaves and any saves created from those saves will still have incorrect people/title assignments)

  • The third "Decline" option at the end of the investigation storyline now able to be used actually

  • No longer allowed to save a game with no save file name

  • Added travelling merchant that shows up when for one reason or another there is nothing of note happening during a week

  • Notifications for certain turns are ordered more sensibly (example, tutorial notifications will always be listed first)

  • Music now properly resumes after the busiest cinematics

  • Job list in the top left now keeps a consistent order for how the jobs display

  • Correctly updating the title of certain characters in certain events (I know, vague, but you try writing patch notes for story specific issues!)

  • Map button no longer clickable and instead says "Coming Soon"

Planned future Content Updates (NOT INCLUDED IN THIS PATCH)

-Pettable animals -Map -Rework of the Ancestory/Family Tree menu -Additional variation added to existing story lines -Improve ambient audio -Improve UI elements -Steam community items
