This patch focuses on some key areas that needed attention based on the feedback (reviews, comments, interpretive dances) left by the most noble of players. The changes made will help highlight the existing features and mechanics that exist in My Liege and create a more rewarding experience. When you make a difficult choice in My Liege, I want you to feel it's impacts and recognize it's later effects on the story.

Major Items

House Approval Displayed

Your choices in My Liege have always impacted the other noble house's opinion of you. Previously, this was all managed in the background and would impact the actions taken by the other houses. Now there is clear feedback when another noble house approves or disproves of your actions.

  • New visual notification displays briefly when a noble house approves or disproves of your choice.

  • Occurs when the noble house is present for the decision or would be immediately impacted by your choice.

  • Added approval impacts to many choices when appropriate to match player expectations based on the house's leader's personality.

Choice Requirement Indicators

Many of the choices you have in My Liege are based on your noble house meeting certain requirements. In many cases, there was enough story and context clues to determine that you were only seeing that choice because of your previous actions. For others however, it was not obvious and players may not have felt rewarded for the previous efforts. There are now indicators on choices that are not always available to specify why you are able to take that action.

  • Choices have indicators on the far right to call out when specific conditions were required to get that choice.

  • Different indicators include:

    • You have enough gold, food, or another stat

    • You had a previous deal with somebody

    • You built or purchased a required building

  • Each indicator has tip text to explain what the icon means.

  • Branching storylines still exist in the game and whole events are not called out with these indicators, just the individual choices you have to make.

Music Overhaul

  • There is now music associated to different stage scenes and plays when you open an event.

    • For example, the castle scenes have a unique and different song playing than the farm/outdoors scenes.

  • Added 7 new tracks to be used in the overworld and on various stage scenes.

  • Handful of songs removed that did not match the mood of the game or were not appropriate in the scenario they were previously used in.

Minor Items

  • Stages updated to have more light sources to make more dynamic scenes.

  • Cities and towns have more flags and heraldry displayed to show off which noble house is in power there.

  • Flags in overworld are impacted by weather.

  • Corrected an assortment of typos and fixed bugs around character names not always being displayed properly.

  • Shortened many choices to avoid crowded or overflowing text buttons.
