Steam Next Fest - Demo Updated (Patch Notes)

The newest version of the My Liege demo is now live! This will be the final major update made to the demo until the game is released (on schedule for Fall 2024). This version of the demo is now representative of the what I envision the released game to look and play like (I'd describe it as 98% there).

Changes Include:

Decision Menu Overhaul

• Includes a visual stage for meeples to play out scenarios on

• Speech bubbles for advisors to voice their opinions with

• Names of important people and houses are clickable links for you to view

• You are visually represented now with a meeple during decisions

Meeple Updates

Character editor added, can now visually change important meeples that are named and on the family trees

Meeples visually can have hair, hats, outfits, and handheld items now

Camera Updates

• Controls updated to match industry standards

• Holding right click causes camera to rotate around a pivot point in front of camera

• Scroll wheel can be used to zoom in and out

• Camera movements smoothed out, no longer jerky stop and starts

• Camera smoothly pans to important locations, quest givers, and cinematic moments

World Changes

• World map expanded by 600%

• Cinematic moments added to show major events happening in the world

• Decisions are began by selecting a "quest giver" that has an exclamation mark above them

• Notifications still exist, but take you to the quest giver instead of opening the menu directly

Family Tree Updated

• Menu updated to have 2 sections: -The top shows the houses and who is sworn to the high lord - The bottom shows the family tree of a house you selected

• Can edit house details and person details from this menu still

Settings Support

• Supports changing resolution, fullscreen mode, and graphics quality

• Sound volumes broken into 4 different categories

And a bunch more stuff that I am probably forgetting.
