addedOnce again, thanks to everyone for participating in Mr. President’s Early Access! It’s April and we’re back with more features and bug fixes. We’ve added the State of the Union segment of the game so you can collect your laurels - and maybe sneak in a bill - at the beginning of each turn (well, Year 2 and later). Your Adversaries - Iran and North Korea - have brought their nuclear development programs on-line, and you’ll need to keep those ambitions in check. Iran has also started taking action in the game. Can your Iran policy succeed at maintaining open trade through the Straits of Hormuz and combating their state-sponsored terror?.
addedPlease continue to report any bugs you find in either our Steam Forums or on the Discord. We’re actively monitoring those channels and really appreciate your help! Now let's dive into the new features with 0.6.0:
addedNew FeaturesAdded the State of the Union segment to the Turn Sequence (remember that this segment only occurs in years 2+). Depending on how well received your speech is, there will be some bonus modifications - or setbacks - on the board at the beginning of the president’s year.
addedNew FeaturesAdded some additional actions to the China Acts segment.
addedNew FeaturesThe Adversary Weapon Programs have been added to the board (Iran’s Nuclear Program and North Korea’s Missile Program). Allowing these programs to escalate will drive up tensions in their regions, and can cause automatic loss if either of those adversary states goes to war while armed with nuclear weapons. You can minimize the risk of nuclear proliferation by keeping Tensions low; more tools to manage these tracks, like Cyberattacks and Summit negotiations, are coming soon!
addedNew FeaturesIran’s Actions have been added to the Ally and Rogue States game segment. Keep an eye on this constant adversary.
