With the next playtest on the horizon, I want to go through a long list of everything that we added since the first playtest. Get hyped!
Feedback
Thank you very much for all the feedback. It showed us that we are on the right track, making a very fun game, but we also have to spend more time on polishing. Parkour was not useful and the map looked ugly.
We got all that down in a new map. It has a lot of verticality to use your new parkour moves and and looks amazing too.
Be like Tarzan, Climb the vines
Additionally to the new map we have another parkour move that lets you use it in new ways. You can go from the lowered terrain in the mid-lane up to the jungle in seconds.
We have seen a lot of new strategies and tricks popping up since. Using the verticality and big space to pull off some impressive ambushes and strategical maneuvers. An assassin jumping from the highest point in the jungle to ambush the mid-laner is still the coolest action we have seen. I wonder what strategies you can come up with.
Home Teleport
With a bigger map the distance back to base also increased. That's why we implemented the Home-Teleport. After activation, it charges up and teleport you home. Just watch out that you are not attacked which will interrupt it. The charging will break and you will remain stunned for the rest of the charge duration.
Boots
A big fun factor to the MOBA genre is choice. Depending on how you want to play and the state of the game, a different item will give you an edge.
All boots give a little bit different aspect of improvement to your movement.
Or just use wacky all boots, super high movement speed builds to troll your friends.
Kill streak rewards and shutdowns
Of course, you want to be rewarded for playing well. After killing two enemies, each additional kill will grand you extra gold. If you manage to end an enemies kill streak, you will get rewarded too.
Minions and Monsters power increases over time
Minions and Monsters got very weak in the lategame. It was not unusual to kill the entire wave with one ability. The same goes for monsters. To counteract this, we make the two's power increase a little bit over time.
Armor Up Here
All players now start with armor. The melee weapons gain a little more than Boltthrower and Dragon Mirror. We hope to reduce the dominance of Boltthrowers we witnessed during the recent tests.
Improvement of weapons
We noticed that abilities that rely on the player looks at someone were really hard to use. They did not have an impact on a fight and asked you to be very accurate. We tried out a few methods and found an easy to use way.
Better performance
We also made a few changes that will keep your PC from exploding when playing on the new map.
Other • improved animations and VFX • improved sounds • melee characters received an increased hitbox for their basic attack. • Lots of BugFixes
