Mineral Defense changes
Development is ongoing on a new world featuring 9 new enemies and a brand new tile set and environment. I am looking to have this update ready for March 13th.
Additionally, I wanted to thank all the players who have bought the game, enjoyed it, and left reviews and feedback! Every review and piece of feedback helps shape the game for the better. Please keep doing so!
In the mean time while we wait for that to be complete, this update brings some nice improvements:
Update
Endless Upgrade Cards for Towers: - After drawing the first five upgrade card draws for a tower, it will now progress into an endless set of cards to allow you to continue upgrading them well into the end game.
Mineral Rarity: - Minerals now come in the same 5 rarity flavors as the rest of the game: common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary. They also have a chance to spawn as "bountiful", which will double their value.
More Consistent Resource Spawns: - Mineral deposits and power geysers will now spawn more consistently. Land segments now also have a small chance to become "bountiful", vastly increasing the amount of resources that spawn on it.
Build/Ability Menu Shortcuts: - You can now select abilities and structures without clicking on them with the mouse. Press "B" or "V" to highlight the Build menu or the Ability menu, then press 1-9 to select the highlighted button. Press "Tab" to scroll the highlighted menu, if needed.
Reduced Innate Research - One of the major criticisms of the game is that a tower is unable to be used immediately after researching it. However, a lot of other players enjoy this feature, and it also allows players to not immediately pollute their card draw at the start of a new game with upgrade cards from all towers.
To address this, the "Innate" research entries now only cost 5000 research points. This strikes a balance and allows players to more easily control their structure availability and upgrade card draws through research, and suspension of that research.
