The Burning Vanguard Of Your Line
In Mercenary Brotherhood, I wanted every race to feel like a tactical tool. The Dragolin is your heavy vanguard. While other units rely on shields and formations, the Dragolin relies on overwhelming elemental force to dictate the flow of combat.
Boasting a massive health pool and a natural bonus to raw damage, they are built to dominate the center of the fray. Their signature ability, Fire Breath, allows them to unleash a devastating area-of-effect burst once per battle. This move is designed to shatter enemy formations; by forcing your opponents to scatter to avoid the flames, the Dragolin creates perfect openings for your high-mobility units, like the Wolfkin, to strike.
The Burden of Blood
Power of this magnitude comes with a price. Their Dragon Scales provide incredible resilience against physical strikes, but their internal heat makes them Cold Vulnerable. In freezing environments or against frost-based magic, a Dragolin's movement is crippled and their natural defenses are significantly weakened. Furthermore, their reliance on sheer physical strength means they have poor ranged capabilities; if they cannot close the distance to their targets, they risk being picked apart by patient enemy snipers.
How will you use them?
Will you use them as a "Territory Controller" to flush enemies out of defensive cover?
Or will you hold them back as a "Force Multiplier" to finish off a weakened enemy front line?
