changedMacOS and LinuxHowever, Linux user need to have the Vulkan API installed, otherwise the game will crash. So if you have the Vulkan API properly installed and the game still crashes for your Linux OS, you should refund the game for now.
changedBack-End UpdateI also updated the Unity Editor, its High Defintion Render Pipeline (HDRP) and Steamworks to the latest version. In addition to that I converted the game files from C# to C++ (Windows and Linux). All in all this update has a huge impact on the visuals, especially lighting, and performance.
changedBack-End UpdateTherefore, let me know in the Steam Forum, how your favourite scene now looks and performs (better or worse FPS, visual glitches, artifacts, low resolution shadows, etc.).
changedVolumetric LightingFurthermore, due to this back-end update I changed the volumetric lighting effect for all scenes to reduce the low quallity noise. Moving light sources should also flicker less aggressively now.

MacOS and Linux

With this update there will be versions for Mac and Linux user.

However, Linux user need to have the Vulkan API installed, otherwise the game will crash. So if you have the Vulkan API properly installed and the game still crashes for your Linux OS, you should refund the game for now.

Back-End Update

I also updated the Unity Editor, its High Defintion Render Pipeline (HDRP) and Steamworks to the latest version. In addition to that I converted the game files from C# to C++ (Windows and Linux). All in all this update has a huge impact on the visuals, especially lighting, and performance.

Therefore, let me know in the Steam Forum, how your favourite scene now looks and performs (better or worse FPS, visual glitches, artifacts, low resolution shadows, etc.).

Volumetric Lighting

Furthermore, due to this back-end update I changed the volumetric lighting effect for all scenes to reduce the low quallity noise. Moving light sources should also flicker less aggressively now.

In the graphic settings there is a new option to change the volumetric lighting quality (Low, Mid, High, Ultra). The performance impact depends on the choosen scene and can be between no (0 FPS) or mediocre (~10 FPS) gain/lost.

Victorian Background

The already existing victorian background gets three new view directions. So you can now have four different views in one background. Change the view by clicking on the street name sign on the left or right side. As before, all street lights can be turned on/off individual with a left click or all at once with a right click.

4D Levels

Moreover, I added 30 new handcrafted levels and achievements for the 4D Hypercrown 3x3x3x3 matrix.

This one looks easier than other 4D matrices, but it is still quite challenging.

Loading Screen

With the grow of the game, the start loading time takes longer. Therefore I added a loading screen at the start of the game to make the progression visible.

As always these features and some bug fixes will be available with the next update.
