Dear Magicians, long time no see!
Thank you all for your continued support. In the last update, we introduced many new monsters and fun spell combinations. The game has now sold over 600,000 copies—but our journey of magical discovery is far from over.
New spells await your mastery, and a new world is calling for heroes to save it.
Since the release of version 1.1, we’ve been closely following community comments and feedback:
We want to assure everyone that the most anticipated features—collaboration DLC, frame rate optimization, and infinite mode—are all well underway. Currently, the development schedule is planned through the end of 2026, and we’re still expanding it step by step.
Now, let’s dive into the latest update news—some of it will be reaching you very soon!
Mysterious Collaboration Coming Soon
"Hot summer days call for beaches and soda—but why am I still stuck in a dungeon?"
"Wait, hold on… I think I just heard the sound of running water…"
New collaboration is coming, bringing new bosses and new sets to the game.
We know you’ve been waiting for the DLC for a long time—new content will be ready to experience very soon!
In our previous collaborations with Warm Snow, Bing in Wonderland, and Backpack Battles, we created three unique character sets that received great praise from the community. The usage data also shows these sets are quite popular. Going forward, we’ll continue to bring you more fresh and exciting crossover experiences through future collaborations.
In this collaboration event, not only can you get brand-new character sets, but several powerful crossover bosses will also be added to the game.
Detailed information will be announced soon—stay tuned!
Game Performance Optimization
For a long time, players have voiced concerns about serious frame drops in the late stages of the game.
We’ve come to realize that the basic MonoBehaviour structure can no longer meet the demands of large-scale parallel processing.
But now, those issues are about to become a thing of the past!
Magicraft is being rebuilt using the new Data-Oriented Technology Stack (DOTS) architecture. This will significantly improve how the game handles complex particle systems, ensuring stable performance even in high-load scenarios.
Enough talk—here’s the comparison:
Before Optimization
After Optimization
At this point, some players might ask:
"If DOTS is so great, why didn’t you use it from the start?"
Here’s the thing—while DOTS is powerful, it’s also challenging to learn and slows down development speed.
Plus, back then, this technology was still in beta and not widely known.
In short, to ensure the scalability of spells in the long run and to develop more fun and diverse spell combinations, we had to refactor and optimize the code.
That’s the only way to truly solve these issues.
"So smooth!"
DOTS optimization is a large undertaking and will take some time to complete, so we kindly ask for your patience.
We’re committed to providing all our magicians with the best possible gameplay experience. In future updates, we’ll continue to address in-game issues and push forward with improvements—ensuring your magical journey is smooth and enjoyable every step of the way!
Portal to Her: Fall into the Gearverse
A new visitor has arrived at the Secret Camp.
Along with her comes a mysterious Door leading to an unknown destination.
You decide to journey with her beyond the gateway... What miracles and adventures await there?
"Is the mind forged by the Constructor a light unto truth — or but a torch within a machine-made dream?"
The long-awaited infinite mode is now officially on the roadmap!
With brand-new environments and endless levels, mastering spell combinations will help you go even further on this magical pilgrimage.
In addition to unique scenes and enemies, the level structure in infinite mode will also differ from the main game.
At the moment, we’re focusing heavily on the collaboration content and DOTS optimization, both of which involve a significant workload. Infinite mode itself will also be a substantial addition and will take time to develop. We’re working hard to complete the current phase of development and hope to bring infinite mode to you as soon as possible.
More detailed information will be shared in future developer logs—stay tuned!
Once again, thank you all for your excitement and continued support!
That’s all for this developer’s log!
