changedHi there Mages! An important announcement regarding Mage Noir - Infinity. We will be closing the Mage Noir - Infinity servers in a few months, on June 1st.
changedMage Noir - Infinity is a project we are extremely proud of, especially considering the quality of the game compared to the size of the team that built it. However, the number of active players compared to the recurring server costs required to keep the game online has become a burden for Double Combo Games and for the future of Mage Noir.
removedWe believe it is healthier to definitively end Mage Noir - Infinity to give more space and importance to the places where the community is truly present, such as this Discord and TTS. This also allows us to avoid recurring costs that are no longer necessary. We also feel that Mage Noir - Infinity could lead to disappointment for some players who are hoping for updates, particularly the addition of expansions. We would have loved for this to be possible, but the cost and time required would be enormous, and the benefits for both the players and ourselves would not match the investment.
removedTo prepare for the closure of Infinity, we will very soon be ending all microtransactions within the game. We do not want a newcomer or an uninformed player to invest in a game that they will no longer be able to enjoy in a few months.
removedThose who have been following us for a long time know well that Infinity was a project that has not had any updates for a while and is no longer part of the physical game ecosystem. The budgets for the video game and the physical game have always been separate. Fortunately, the existence of Mage Noir in "paper" format has always continued its course without being impacted by Infinity. We are therefore continuing to move Mage Noir and Double Combo Games forward in the way that seems smartest to us, to continue offering you the best games possible, one card at a time.

What does this mean for the physical game?
