Low Magic, They Said!

VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS

Atmospheric Fog System

  • Added 3-layer dynamic fog system creating true depth in battle scenes

  • Background fog renders behind characters

  • Middle fog renders between background and player

  • Foreground fog renders over UI for immersive atmosphere

  • Each layer moves independently for organic effect

BALANCE

Temple & Progression

  • Magic level upgrades no longer cost Boss Souls after the initial unlock (1 Soul to awaken temples)

  • Blessings are now FREE at temples (1 per visit, reset each run)

  • Magic levels are permanent unlocks with tiered costs (Level 2: 5 Souls, Level 3: 10 Souls)

Note: Difficulty scaling after Prestige 2 may feel steep. The temple changes should help offset this by making blessings more accessible. We're monitoring feedback.

CRITICAL FIXES

Temple System

  • Fixed temple allowing multiple blessing selections per visit (now limited to 1)

  • Temple button disables after selecting a blessing

Events

  • Fixed Dark Words portal not preserving deck, relics, and gold when restarting

Battle System

  • Fixed Avatar of War status not triggering at start of turn

  • Fixed Echo Dagger triggering multiple times per damage event

  • Fixed Vengeful Strike dealing double damage

  • Fixed status effects (Exhaust shaders) persisting after expiration

  • Fixed crash when attacking freed enemy nodes

Save/Load

  • Fixed crash when loading corrupted save files

  • Fixed moonlight crash in nighttime environments

BUG FIXES

Relics & Scrolls

  • Fixed Scroll of Healing disappearing instead of stacking

  • Fixed relic reroll removing weapon relic

UI & Visuals

  • Fixed prestige not unlocking after winning

  • Fixed map display scaling issues

  • Fixed duplicate healing floating text

  • Improved Might tooltip format

...and various other undocumented fixes and tunes.

WHAT'S NEXT

Patch 9 will focus entirely on new bosses and enemies.
