Happy new year! I'm keep developing Low Level Hunters furiously to deliver it as fast as possible.

The last 2 months were spent to create a playable Cobra, and I'm planning to spend first 2 months of this year to make some graphics improvements.

Here's what I had been working on in this month!

Thumbless Mittens are History! Embrace 5 Fingers.

One of the biggest drawbacks of Defender Patrol was the lack of proper shape of hands.

Not only the crude looking mittens effectively killed the immersion, it was really problematic in VR to precisely select tiny switches with stupid mitten hands.

The humans in Low Level Hunters had been evolved to have 5 individual fingers. There are various unique hand poses available for every single interactable objects, and In VR you can precisely select switches with index finger or Do your own hand poses with VR controller's finger sensors.

New Human Shapes

The Human models had been revamped to give more distintive look for the infantries.

Low Poly Brutality

The explosive weapons had been pretty soft in Defender patrol as they can launch a person to the moon but don't really harm the surface.

That's no longer the case in Low Level Hunters... Witness the flying mince meats as you wipe out infanteies with 20mm cannon and High explosive rockets.

This level of violence can be turned off in settings if you don't want to see too much blood during your flight.

New Skyboxes

The skybox also got some huge improvements from Defender Patrol. There are now the Sun and the Moon with every kinds of phases, stars and more detailed looking clouds on the sky.

The location of the Sun and the Moon changes based on the time of the day.

Wrapping Up

My works in the next month will be creating new desert and arctic scenery, applying some textures on every units (which changes along with the choice of scenery), more various ground textures, and some improvements in the particle effects.

Thanks for reading!
