What Is The Convenience Update (Part 1)?

This update brings the following new features:

  • A rework of the currency exchange, allowing the player to talk to Eli in the Hub to buy cash with chips at the start of a run. The player will also be able to buy upgrades from Eli mid-run by talking to him at the shop.

  • Gloves! You can now equip different coloured gloves that grant huge stat buffs but also huge stat penalties. There are six gloves to collect (Not including Jimmy's White Gloves, which are default), which can be earned randomly by slaying bosses in a run, and equipped at the Weapon Table under a new tab.

  • Tweaks to the upgrade system; Buying any upgrade will raise the price of all other upgrades by one chip, encouraging more thoughtful upgrading and build crafting. You can also refund all of your upgrades, giving you all of your chips back at no extra cost.

  • Four brand new items!

  • A brand new enemy type; The Gunslinger

  • Updated Hub Layout, making it easier to interact with the weapon table, slots, and Eli

The update will be releasing tomorrow! We are very excited to push this update out due to all the game-play changes, specifically Gloves, the new Items, and the Upgrade System changes,, it's very fun to experiment with various stat builds using both upgrades and gloves; Running around as a tank with a lot of health, or having a high fire rate, or going full glass cannon.

I would also like to share some details on the next update;

What's Coming in Part 2?

  • Fast forwarding runs to specific floors

  • Proper Credits Screen

  • More items

  • Steam Achievements

  • Boss Fight reworks!

  • New Rooms!

We anticipate to have this next update out by mid-late July, given how long it took us to complete this update, we had completely missed our release target of early June (Sorry about that ^^').

Hope you are all having a great day, see you all again soon!
