addedPreparing for the releaseMarch 31 had been the target date since we had decided to make the game for Steam. We were comfortable that this gave us enough time and we haven't felt much pressure although there is still some features and bugs that we'd like to add and iron out before release, but the game is perfectly playable :)
addedCurrent workThere's still one feature we'd like to add before it releases and that is train Skins. There's also strange a bug where cars sometimes disappear (very rarely) which we're looking at.

addedAfter releaseWe're not expecting a big fanfare release, especially when we haven't really marketed the game, but instead a very small release. We're not even sure if people will like the game but it's ok, we managed to do it and that's what counts for us :) Of course we'll be listening to feedback and fixing any bugs that people find. As for future content updates? We don't know yet. We don't want to promise anything but we have a small list of wishes and ideas that might be added at some point.

Preparing for the release

March 31 had been the target date since we had decided to make the game for Steam. We were comfortable that this gave us enough time and we haven't felt much pressure although there is still some features and bugs that we'd like to add and iron out before release, but the game is perfectly playable :)

How the game was made

Current work

There's still one feature we'd like to add before it releases and that is train Skins. There's also strange a bug where cars sometimes disappear (very rarely) which we're looking at.

With skins, you can customise your train

Why is the game free

You might be thinking it's a 'free to play' game, but actually no, it's a FREE game. We're not making any money out of it. We've been making small games together for years now and we wanted to make a push towards a more 'professional' game, something we can point at and be proud of, and this will be the result. We have learned a lot about Game Development in the process and finding out all the little details that you never think about or take for granted when playing games. There isn't that much content but enough to keep you entertained for a couple hours and we've polished what's there and for all intents and purposes we're treating it as a 'paid' game.

How the graphics were made

After release

We're not expecting a big fanfare release, especially when we haven't really marketed the game, but instead a very small release.

This probably will be the last Dev Blog before release so, we'll see you on the other side and we hope you like the game!
