Little Fighter 2 Remastered changes
Hi everyone,
Today I made some little updates to the Steam settings for Little Fighter 2 Remastered:
Achievements are now localized in Chinese
Steam Remote Play is now enabled<— some issues remain in Steam Remote Play and I will addressed them after the work on network play and controller support is completed.
Also, I’ve attached the current roadmap for LF2 Remastered below. While it hasn’t changed, I’m sharing it here for those who haven’t purchased the game but are curious about what’s planned (it’s also viewable in-game).
I’m continuing to work hard on bug fixes and exploring Steam’s matchmaking system. Stay tuned!
Little Fighter 2 Remastered Roadmap
Here’s the planned roadmap for future updates, listed by priority. Items without a [DLC] tag will be included in future updates for free once completed. If unexpected and unsolvable technical challenges arise, some features may be delayed or even canceled, but I’ll do my best to complete at least 70% of the plan.
Network mode using Steam matchmaking: So players no longer need to enter IP addresses or set up port forwarding.
Cost-based VS mode: In this mode, each character has a cost value based on their strength. Teams share a total cost budget.
When a player is defeated, their character's cost is deducted from the team’s remaining budget.
If the budget hits zero, the team loses.
[MUST DO] Support for gamepads.
Support Steam Big Picture Mode (under consideration).
[DLC] Artbook: Includes full-resolution sprites, illustrations, and outline sketches.
[DLC] Original Character Pack: Playable character using the original 2002 LF2 sprite.
[DLC] Unlock All Content: Instantly unlock all stages and characters (all content can still be unlocked through gameplay; this DLC is just for those who want to show support).
- [MUST DO] Stage 6 with new charactersNote that the boss of Stage 6 will be extremely overpowered and won’t be available as a playable character for regular players.
[DLC?] Workshop Support (under consideration): Might allow users to modify sprites and backgrounds more easily.
Remaster the sprite of the character Template.
...Plus some old bugs to fix, and a few fan-requested features, such as the option to disable item drops or set a time limit in VS Mode. These fan requests might even be implemented before some of the features mentioned above!
