Liminal Shroud changes
Welcome, liminal explorers.
Today we’re rolling out a major content update for the Liminal Shroud demo. This update introduces a brand-new chapter, a completely reworked opening experience, and several meaningful improvements across the demo. You can find the full details below in the patch notes.
To go along with the update, we’ve also released an updated official trailer. Give it a watch to get a feel for what’s changed.
This update expands on the game’s lore and leans further into the mystery surrounding the Shroud. We’ve also made a number of adjustments based directly on player feedback, which continues to be incredibly important to us. If you’re ready to step a little deeper into the unknown, take a look beneath the Shroud and see what’s waiting.
Patch Notes
New Chapter
Chapter 2 has been completely replaced with an all-new chapter featuring fresh content.
New Starting Experience
The alleyway opening has been removed and replaced with a new starting area that better sets the tone and adds more context to the story and lore of Liminal Shroud.
Chapter 1 Updates
The red maze area has been overhauled to be more visually engaging and atmospheric.
Chapter Transitions
The in-between chapter space (the office with the desk) has been reworked to better align with the game’s lore and overall presentation.
Visual Effects
No-clipping portal effects have been updated to better match the glitchy visual language used throughout the game.
