Liha changes
Today is the day for a new demo update! It is another step towards finishing the Tactical Update. It also seems like the game is taking a turn in the rougelike direction. But see for yourself.
This update, in particular, brings a revamped AI, rebalanced loot drops, a new pre-dive UI, new enemy units and more.
Here, have a changelog:
Improved enemy ai
They will make an effort not to shoot through walls
They will get stuck a lot less
Units now organise themselfes in squads and share targets and squad leader locations
New internal AI logic (it plays about the same but I can sleep better at night, now)
New enemy types
Factory units (they spawn support drones for their squad)
Shield Leech units (they steal your shield and transfer it to a squad member)
Tank units (they fly in between you and their squad members)
Infested units (they shoot infested ammunition that can temporarily cause defense debuffs)
New ship mods
Reverse shield leeches (gain shield from enemy squads)
Flesh Resonator (spread the infested defense debuff while being debuffed yourself)
Various improvements in enemy unit placements to make for tighter combat
Rebalanced loot drops:
Weapons and mods can be found in loot crates
Enemy units drop resources and shield pickups
Added option for anti aliasing
Improved pre-dive UI with better controller support
Unit and other object indicators (with option to turn them off)
Improved shotgun and pulsegun SFX
Improved flesh box task - now drops rare artifacts
Fix shield not getting correct starter-amount when capacity was modified
Old Rusty (now Mothrust) and the Haulin' Junk have different graphic for representation now
There are at the very least 2 more updates planned, that will introduce more variety within the dungeons and depth to the runs themselves.
Also, you will probably have guessed it at this point, you will be able to find new ships to fly in the future. Ships with their own set of properties to allow for unique builds together with the available ship mods.
But for now, what you see in this change log, is what we go with for this month. I hope you'll enjoy checking out the new enemies and mods.
If you have any questions, absolutely drop them here or in the forum. I'll be around, answering them!
Cheers!
