Repeated intro
Hello Chefs! We've had a very busy week. This time around the update is mostly about... stains. We have given them a LOT of love. Dropping food is one of the key "Oh noooo!" mechanics in the game so we are happy with how horrifying/satisfying the experience is now with new graphics, VFX, and sounds. It turned out to be one of the changes that keep putting a grin on our faces every time Lucy and I play LCT.

Let's Cook Together changes
See our uber-professional stain research made at home:
And here is how the new stains work in-game:
Detailed changes:
NEW: Chef stains. If you drop an ingredient on the floor, the dropped ingredient will first leave a stain on the chef's face or apron. Thanks to Marcin (LCT's awesome graphics designer) for this - it makes the experience so much more complete.
- NEWMuch better floor stains. Before every ingredient dropped on the floor left the same stain, now they all have custom graphics. Since we have over 120 ingredients (in other words things you can carry) in LCT, this required a lot of Lucy's configuration magic. We've also introduced new sounds for these stains.
NEW: Both above staining mechanisms (chef and floor stains) are now accompanied by one of Kjell's (LCT's awesome VFX designer) stunning VFX.
NEW: Chef facial reactions. Chefs now react to tossing and catching food and to becoming dirty.
NEW: You can now reassign controllers manually in the settings menu and in the pause menu. Many thanks to Snicker Furfoot and his thorough review for pointing out the need for that.
Lucy has increased the coin penalty for dropping the food on the floor. This should make the experience of dropping that Tower Burger even more horri... fun.
Introduced a tiny threshold for when a chef switches sides while walking left and right. This should reduce the amount of "I didn't want THAT!" situations for some trigger-happy players (like me).
When walking on a stain the chef's speed is reduced (by an amount based on chosen game difficulty). The stain's speed reduction power will now last longer making the stains more of a problem for food-wasting chefs.
Flipping two pancakes in quick succession (on a double crepe pan) should now properly trigger the flipping animation.
Turning on the shake maker right after flipping a pancake should now properly trigger the animation.
Trying to take out food from an automatic blender (Burger Ring) when it's not done will now cause Leonard to give the appropriate comment.
A chef that activates the topping machine (Pancake Splash) during food combining animation will now snap to a proper position.
Appliance sounds are now switched off when entering the pause menu.
Disconnecting a gamepad during the level summary will no longer cause this UI nightmare:
Smashing buttons during the loading screen should no longer break the game.
Another set of typos squashed.
Season 3 is in deep in the works and I hope we can ship a very first version of it in about 3 weeks. I plan to provide a sneak peek of its graphics and dishes soon.
As always - we are open to all suggestions - please feel free to reach out to us in the discussion board.
