addedI'm proud of myself for actually completing the early access version, and Legendary Knights is my first creation. The only thing I regret is that I took the "Done is better than perfect" approach at first. The whole project is extremely messy, which makes it extremely difficult for me to update and add new game elements now. But I'll always try my best to finish Legendary Knight, I just need more time.

Hello everyone, it's been a while again. Because of a little incident yesterday that stirred up some emotions, I wanted to share the story behind Legendary Knight with you.

I started developing Legendary Knights in September 2019 with doubts and with nothing left in my bank account. With few circumstances, I decided to start what I had always dreamed of. Before Legendary Knight, I had never tried to complete a game of this scale (I had once created a mini-game called Clicks, which was also written in Unity). I can't even imagine that after six months, I actually managed to get it on Steam.

In November 2018, I decided to leave my first job after graduation to try to fulfill two of my dreams, one of which was game development. I've been going back and forth for half a year, and I've suffered a lot, but I've never thought about giving up, even though I'm barely earning any money. People are telling me that I should find a full-time job, fulfill my dream only when I have spare time.

However, I deeply understand that it is impossible to finish a game with spare time. It is already tiring enough to work, so why would I put in more effort to develop it after work? I knew that unless I was willing to put in 100% effort, I wouldn't be able to succeed.

Then from September 2019 to March 2020, I spent almost 12 hours a day working on the game, 7 days a week. Occasionally, when I get really tired, I take a day or two off. You can see the workbench in my room from above. When I was tired, I would go to bed and rest; when I woke up, I would get back to work on the other side in my room.

Due to the lack of experience and confidence, I adopted the "Done is better than perfect" approach. No good plan, no good programming structure, no professional Unity skills. I've used every simple, easy way to make sure my first indie game project can be done. The game isn't perfect, but I can't accept myself giving up in the halfway.

I'm proud of myself for actually completing the early access version, and Legendary Knights is my first creation. The only thing I regret is that I took the "Done is better than perfect" approach at first. The whole project is extremely messy, which makes it extremely difficult for me to update and add new game elements now. But I'll always try my best to finish Legendary Knight, I just need more time.

Also, I'm working on my second project, which I'll share on my Facebook page and Youtube Channel in the future, so please support me if you're interested.

The purpose of Oki Game Lab is not only to create games, but also to share various indie games with you! Not only my creations, there are thousands of other great projects out there, and they may have different stories behind them. That's why the Oki Game Lab is trying to give free reviews and advice to some indie creators.

We have created a Curator on Steam and started a website to record the reviews we have done. If you are interested in learning more about games, please follow our Steam Curator.

I just need a little more time and I'm not giving up on my first child!

Once again, thank you all for your support of Legendary Knight!
