Lady of Dreams changes
This is Dmitry.
In this update, I made a big bet on parallel worlds and tried to bring something truly new to the game.
Based on your previous feedback, I realized that the completely random regeneration of locations on every launch created a rather strange gaming experience. So I shifted the focus: the game is now more geared towards chilling and getting immersed in your favorite tracks, sinking into the atmosphere, doing the same things to the music, and occasionally catching pleasant “brain freezes” and unexpected moments.
World Generation
The entire game world now consists completely of procedural meshes generated in real time based on mathematical algorithms. I’m using the Ruby API to build the geometry.
If we continue to develop and refine these algorithms, we can reach the next level of music-driven world generation. For now, we have a solid base — it already works and produces interesting results, but there’s still a lot of room for improvement. If you have cool ideas on how to make this system even better — feel free to share them, I’ll implement the best ones in future updates.
About DLC
The idea with separate DLC maps unfortunately didn’t resonate with players, so I decided to scrap it.
However, I’m turning the “Crazy Town” DLC into a full-fledged separate story campaign. It will be in the spirit of the Alien City mod: first-person perspective, its own lore branch, and completely different gameplay (GTA-like). It will feel noticeably different from the main “Lady of Dreams”. I plan to announce it a bit later — right now my main focus is on other projects.
